Global Artist Line-up Announced for Vedanta Udaipur World Music Festival 2026

The Vedanta Udaipur World Music Festival (VUWMF) has announced its artist line-up for 2026, marking a significant milestone as the festival completes ten years of celebrating Music Without Borders. Supported by Hindustan Zinc and conceptualized and produced by SEHER in collaboration with the Department of Tourism, Government of Rajasthan, the festival will take place from 6th to 8th February 2026, transforming Udaipur into a global hub of music, culture, and shared human emotion.

Celebrating a decade of bringing world music to Indian audiences, the 2026 edition brings together iconic Indian artists alongside international performers from over 10 countries. Spread across three days, the festival will feature 20 bands and artists, spanning genres such as folk, indigenous traditions, contemporary music, pop, and global fusion. The diverse line-up reinforces VUWMF’s position as one of India’s most distinctive destination music festivals.

Leading the Indian line-up are some of the country’s most celebrated voices. Kailash Kher will bring his signature blend of folk and Sufi influences rooted in devotion and raw emotion, while Amit Trivedi is set to deliver a high-energy live performance that bridges traditional and contemporary sounds. The festival will also feature Jonita Gandhi, known for her global appeal across Bollywood and independent pop; Taba Chake, whose folk-infused songwriting is deeply personal; and Amrit Ramnath, acclaimed for her contemporary interpretations grounded in classical training. Adding to the sonic depth are Indian Ocean, pioneers of Indian fusion rock, and OAFF, one of India’s most exciting contemporary producers, bringing a modern pulse to the festival.

Expanding its global footprint, VUWMF 2026 will host an international line-up with several artists performing in India for the first time. These include Selin Sümbültepe from Turkey, Calle Mambo from Chile, and Valerie Ekoumé from Cameroon, introducing audiences to a spectrum of global sounds ranging from Latin rhythms to Afro-pop and Afro-rock. The international roster also features Sofiane Saidi from Algeria, Lucibela from Cape Verde, 9 Grader Nord from Norway, Volosi from Poland, and Flamenco Dream from Spain—a rare father-son duo whose performances highlight the passing of musical legacy across generations.

Beyond its artist line-up, the Vedanta Udaipur World Music Festival continues to distinguish itself through its unique curation around the three moods of the day. Morning performances begin at Manji Ka Ghat from 9:00 AM onwards, focusing on meditative and reflective sounds. These are followed by romantic afternoon sessions at Fateh Sagar Paal from 3:30 PM onwards. The festival culminates each evening at Gandhi Ground from 6:00 PM onwards with high-energy, contemporary performances.

Speaking on the milestone year, Arun Misra, CEO, Hindustan Zinc, said, “Marking ten years of the Vedanta Udaipur World Music Festival is an important cultural milestone, one that reflects the scale and continuity the festival has achieved over time. Its ability to bring world music to India while celebrating Rajasthan’s musical heritage has helped shape Udaipur into a meaningful destination for global cultural exchange. This year’s artist line-up and the thoughtfully designed journey across the three moods of the day underline the festival’s growing maturity. At Hindustan Zinc, we are proud to support an initiative that has evolved into a strong cultural institution rooted in community and artistic excellence.”

Reflecting on the festival’s journey, Sanjeev Bhargava, Founder, SEHER, said, “The artist line-up this year reflects everything the Vedanta Udaipur World Music Festival stands for: rare global sounds, powerful Indian voices, and a thoughtfully curated musical journey through the day. From meditative mornings to romantic afternoons and high-energy evenings, each artist has been selected to create a distinct emotional experience for the audience. As we mark ten years of the festival, our focus remains on bringing music to India that is not easily heard elsewhere, while allowing audiences to experience it in a way that feels immersive, intentional, and deeply connected to the spirit of Udaipur.”

As the Vedanta Udaipur World Music Festival celebrates a decade of storytelling through sound, it continues to strengthen its identity as a cultural platform where traditions meet, cultures converse, and music becomes a universal language. While the festival’s standing access remains free and open to all, a limited number of reserved seating tickets offering closer stage views are available on the District app.
