Vedanta Udaipur World Music Festival Returns for 10th Anniversary Edition from February 6 to 8, 2026

Hindustan Zinc and SEHER are set to celebrate a decade of “Music without Borders” as the Vedanta Udaipur World Music Festival (VUWMF) returns to Zinc City, Udaipur, from 6th to 8th February 2026. Conceptualised by SEHER in collaboration with the Department of Tourism, Government of Rajasthan, the festival marks ten years of bringing together global sounds, cultural exchange, and shared emotion through music.

Positioned as one of India’s leading destination music festivals, VUWMF continues to spotlight world music from across the globe for Indian audiences, while also promoting and preserving forgotten musical instruments and traditional sounds of Rajasthan. The festival is notably structured around the three natural moods of the day, making it a unique format in the country’s music festival landscape.

The upcoming three-day edition will feature 20 bands from over 10 countries, showcasing a wide range of musical traditions, from folk and indigenous soundscapes to contemporary global expressions. The lineup aims to celebrate cultural diversity while reinforcing the unifying power of music.

The festival will unfold across three iconic venues in Udaipur, each designed to deliver a distinct musical experience. Morning performances at Manji Ka Ghat will focus on music rooted in meditation, introspection, and mental well-being. Afternoon sessions at Fateh Sagar Paal will explore romantic and emotive musical expressions, creating an atmosphere of warmth, connection, and lyrical storytelling by the lake. The festival will culminate each evening at Gandhi Ground, transforming the space into a high-energy celebration featuring contemporary and pop-driven sounds.

Reflecting on the milestone, Sanjeev Bhargava, Founder, SEHER, said, “Completing ten years of the Vedanta Udaipur World Music Festival is both humbling and deeply fulfilling for all of us at SEHER. What started as a simple idea – to bring the world’s music closer to people in an open, inclusive, and culturally rich setting – has today become a global celebration of harmony, diversity, and shared human emotion. Udaipur, with its timeless beauty and welcoming spirit, has been the perfect home for this journey. As we mark a decade of the festival, we look forward to welcoming artists and audiences from across the world to come together once again and celebrate music in its purest, most joyful form.”

Over the past ten years, the Vedanta Udaipur World Music Festival has evolved into one of India’s most distinctive cultural gatherings, set against the backdrop of Udaipur’s lakes, ghats, and historic landscapes. Continuing its legacy of cultural storytelling through sound, the festival remains a meeting point where traditions intersect, cultures connect, and music becomes a truly universal language.
