Laqshya Media Group Delivers Landmark Fan Engagement at DY Patil Stadium for WPL 2026

Laqshya Media Group successfully concluded one of the most impactful fan engagement activations at DY Patil Stadium during the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2026, marking the first time the Group was entrusted with the Entertainment & Fan Engagement mandate for the tournament.

The activation received an overwhelming response, with packed stands and high energy throughout the matches. With a strong focus on keeping fans engaged inside the stadium during mid-innings, Laqshya Media Group delivered a seamless on-ground experience through high-octane performances and precision execution.

Among the standout moments was rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh’s dramatic entry from the dugout alongside Harmanpreet Kaur and Smriti Mandhana, as he walked into the ground from both sides, turning the atmosphere into a concert-like celebration. Actor Jacqueline Fernandez also entertained the crowd with energetic performances. The mid-innings entertainment also featured a lineup of popular performers, including Benny Dayal, Euphoria, Daler Mehndi, Sanju Rathod, Raja Kumari, and Varun Dhawan, who made a special appearance to promote Border 2.

The activations were executed with close coordination between Team BCCI’s on-ground operations and Laqshya’s execution team, ensuring smooth transitions, safety compliance, and uninterrupted focus on the matches. The outcome was positioned as one of the most successful mid-innings engagement experiences in WPL history.

Speaking on the milestone, Satyabrata Das, Project Head and Chief Alliance Officer, Laqshya Media Group, said, “Cricket will always remain the main hero, and that belief drives everything we do. Our role is to complement the game with thoughtfully curated entertainment that enhances the live experience without overpowering it. WPL 2026 has shown that when cricket and entertainment are seamlessly aligned, fans choose to stay, engage, and celebrate together. This is a new, evolved way of building stadium culture in India, where the focus remains on the sport, but the experience becomes unforgettable.”

WPL 2026 has recorded one of its strongest stadium turnouts to date, reflecting rising enthusiasm for live women’s cricket in India. Following the Mumbai leg, Laqshya Media Group is set to move to Vadodara for the next phase of the tournament. While details remain undisclosed, the Group has hinted at more innovations in store leading up to the WPL 2026 finale on the 5th.

With this milestone, Laqshya Media Group continues to strengthen its position as a key player in integrated sports entertainment—bringing together creative vision, precision planning, and stakeholder coordination to elevate fan engagement in Indian cricket.
