Sonal Kabi has been elevated to the role of Director & Head of Marketing, Prime Video & Amazon MGM Studios – APAC & ANZ, marking a significant expansion of her leadership mandate at Amazon.
Announcing the development via a LinkedIn post, Sonal Kabi shared, “And yet, it still feels like we are just getting started. Stepping into 2026, I also take on an expanded role as Director and Head of Marketing, Prime Video & Amazon MGM Studios – APAC & ANZ.”
In her new role, Sonal will oversee marketing strategy and execution across the Asia-Pacific and Australia–New Zealand regions for Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios, strengthening the company’s content and brand presence across key international markets.
Prior to this elevation, Sonal served as Director and Head of Marketing for Amazon Prime Video India, where she led several high-impact brand and content marketing initiatives, contributing to the platform’s strong growth and cultural relevance in the country.
Before joining Amazon, Sonal was Director – Marketing at Netflix, where she spearheaded campaigns for marquee titles such as The Railway Men, Chamkila, Heeramandi and The Great Indian Kapil Show, among others.
Her earlier professional stints include roles at Shuttl, McDonald’s, Star TV Network and Leo Burnett, giving her a diverse blend of experience across content, consumer brands and advertising.
With this expanded regional mandate, Sonal is set to play a pivotal role in shaping the marketing vision for Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios across APAC and ANZ as the company enters its next phase of growth.
