Percept ICE Curates 10-Day ‘Lukshmi Vilas Palace Heritage Garba 2025’ in Vadodara

Percept ICE, the Experiential Marketing, Event Management, Exhibitions, Brand Activation and Corporate IP division of Percept Limited, successfully curated and executed the grand ‘Lukshmi Vilas Palace Heritage Garba 2025’, a ten-night cultural celebration held from September 22 to October 1, 2025, at the iconic Motibaug Cricket Ground within the historic Lukshmi Vilas Palace, Vadodara.

Drawing over 25,000 attendees each night, the heritage Garba witnessed an overwhelming on-ground turnout, with hundreds more joining the festivities through live broadcasts from across the globe. The event unfolded under the patronage of the Royal Family of Vadodara — The Gaekwads — and was organised by Shri Maharani Chimnabai Stree Udyogalaya in association with the Maharaja Fateh Singh Museum Trust.

Rooted in devotion, art, and cultural legacy, the 2025 edition featured a décor concept inspired by ‘Navdurga’, brought alive through hand-painted Pattachitra artworks crafted by master artisans from Odisha. The visual narrative transformed the venue into a sacred immersive space. A key highlight was the Bolto Ambo — the ‘Speaking Mango Tree’ — symbolising women’s empowerment and collective consciousness, where devotees shared wishes and reflections throughout the nine nights.

Each evening seamlessly blended spirituality with performance, featuring powerful dhol-tasha renditions by Shiv Mudra Dhol Tasha Pathak from Pune, soulful musical performances by Sachin and Ashita Limaye, and ethereal Mandali music by the Faculty of Fine Arts, Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda. The festival also witnessed the presence of eminent dignitaries and artists, including a special felicitation of Dr. Kalhans Patel, widely revered as the Father of Garba, along with an honouring ceremony recognising distinguished Fine Arts artists from MSU.

Percept ICE led the end-to-end planning and on-ground execution of the event in close collaboration with the committee chaired by Her Highness Maharani Radhika Raje Gaekwad. The scope of work included comprehensive project planning, ground layout, technical production, branding, food and beverage operations, housekeeping, accreditations, access control, security management, rain contingency planning and overall show flow.

The agency also managed the vibrant ‘Khao Galli’, featuring over 35 regional and international food brands, along with the thoughtfully planned ‘Chappal Galli’ footwear storage zone to enhance guest convenience. Special care was taken to support the upkeep and management of the sacred 400-year-old tree conceptualised as a Mandir space. From pathway design and lighting synchronisation to immersive sound, curated stage visuals and drone cinematography, every detail contributed to transforming the grounds into a living canvas of devotion and dance.

Speaking on the campaign, Vidya Alva, Chief Operating Officer, Percept ICE, said, “It’s a privilege to have been part of an initiative that keeps India’s rich heritage alive through innovation and collaboration. Managing an event of this cultural magnitude was both an honour and a responsibility. The Lukshmi Vilas Palace Heritage Garba 2025 beautifully blended heritage with creativity and design, and our focus was to ensure that every detail, from planning to production, reflected the spirit, devotion, and royal legacy of Vadodara. It’s a proud moment for Percept ICE to have contributed to an experience that inspires emotion, builds community, inclusivity, and celebrates India’s living traditions.”

The ‘Lukshmi Vilas Palace Heritage Garba 2025’ stands as a landmark cultural event, exemplifying how tradition, technology, devotion and design can come together to create a bespoke and timeless experience — one that will resonate in Vadodara’s cultural memory for years to come.
