Skål International Coimbatore to Host Skål International India National Congress 2026

Skål International India has announced Skål International Coimbatore as the host for the Skål International India National Congress (SINC) 2026. The decision was taken by the National Board following a competitive bidding process that also included proposals from Skål International Jaipur and Skål International Jammu & Kashmir.

After a detailed evaluation, the National Board voted in favour of Skål International Coimbatore, citing its holistic, B2B-focused, value-driven proposal, destination readiness, and the club’s sustained contribution to strengthening industry engagement at both local and national levels. The final dates for SINC 2026 will be announced shortly, keeping key national dates in consideration.

Sanjeev Mehra, President, Skål International India, said, “We congratulate Skål International Coimbatore on winning the bid to host the Skål International India National Congress 2026. Skål International India today ranks among the most dynamic national organisations within the global Skål movement, with 20 active clubs across the country and several more in advanced stages of formation. India’s rapidly expanding tourism economy—fuelled by robust domestic travel, rising outbound tourism, and a steady recovery in inbound travel—has positioned the organisation as a key connector of tourism decision-makers across the value chain.

Indian Skålleagues represent leadership across travel trade, hospitality, aviation, destination management, travel technology, media, and allied sectors, making Skål International India a respected B2B platform and an influential voice in industry dialogue. Its continued focus on transparent governance, sustainability, youth engagement, and global collaboration has further strengthened India’s standing within Skål worldwide.

The recently concluded SINC 2025 in Mumbai marked a significant milestone, setting new benchmarks in participation, organisational excellence, sustainability practices, and leadership vision. Building on this momentum, SINC 2026 is widely anticipated as a landmark event on both the national and global tourism calendars.

Coimbatore offers a compelling mix of industry, culture, wellness, spirituality, and nature, making it an ideal host destination for a congress of this scale. Known as one of South India’s most enterprising and well-connected cities, Coimbatore combines strong infrastructure with rich experiential offerings.

As a gateway to the Western Ghats, the city provides seamless access to destinations such as Ooty, Coonoor, and Valparai, known for their scenic landscapes, plantations, trekking routes, and nature-based experiences. The destination is further enhanced by diverse hospitality options, vibrant local markets, distinctive shopping experiences, and the authentic flavours of Kongunadu cuisine—creating an engaging backdrop for business networking and cultural exchange.

Skål International Coimbatore has emerged as one of the country’s most proactive and industry-integrated Skål clubs, hosting a consistent calendar of B2B engagements, professional networking initiatives, and socially responsible programmes. The National Board acknowledged the club’s clarity of vision, operational preparedness, destination positioning, strong member involvement, and recent recognition for excellence in CSR while awarding the hosting rights.

With Skål International India continuing to expand its national footprint and global influence, the Skål International India National Congress 2026 in Coimbatore is expected to go beyond being a national gathering. It is set to serve as a strategic platform for tourism leaders, decision-makers, and industry influencers, fostering dialogue around emerging trends, sustainability, innovation, and collaborative growth—positioning SINC 2026 as a defining milestone for Skål International India and a globally relevant tourism event.
