Bengaluru Comic Con concluded another vibrant and high-octane edition at KTPO, Whitefield, drawing over 50,000 visitors across two days and reaffirming the city’s status as one of India’s most dynamic pop-culture hubs. Presented by Maruti Suzuki Arena and powered by Crunchyroll, the event brought together cosplay, comics, gaming, anime, and live performances under one roof.
The convention floor remained abuzz throughout the weekend, with more than 500 cosplayers transforming the venue into a spectacle of anime, gaming, and pop-culture universes. One of the key highlights was the Bengaluru Qualifier of the Indian Championship of Cosplay, where a participant dressed as Rafa the Exo Soldier from Borderlands 4 emerged victorious, winning a cash prize of ₹50,000.

The main stage and panel areas hosted a packed schedule of creator-led discussions, interactive sessions, anime quizzes, games, and conversations focused on storytelling, illustration, and content creation. A newly introduced panel stage witnessed strong attendance, reflecting the city’s appetite for deeper engagement with creative processes and fandom culture.
International guests were a major draw this year, with fans engaging closely with actor Robert Capron, best known for his role as Rowley in the Diary of a Wimpy Kid film trilogy; acclaimed comic book artist Peter Nguyen, whose work includes Gotham City Sirens, Detective Comics, Bruce Wayne: The Road Home, and Death of Wolverine; and French-Australian actress and voice artist Chloé Hollings, widely recognised as the voice of Widowmaker in Overwatch and Overwatch 2.
The convention also showcased over 20 Indian creators, spanning writers, illustrators, and comic artists. Notable names included Savio Mascarenhas of Amar Chitra Katha and Tinkle fame; Sumit Kumar, founder of Bakarmax; Faisal Mohammed of Garbage Bin Comics; and Bengaluru-based illustrator Prasad Bhat of Graphicurry, all of whom interacted closely with fans and shared insights into their creative journeys.

Gaming continued to be a central pillar of the event, with popular Indian gaming content creators such as Snaxx Gaming, Triggered Insaan, Techno Gamerz, Gamerfleet, Payal Gaming, Mythpat, Ankita, and Jonathan drawing large crowds. The NODWIN Gaming Arena featured multiple attractions, including BGMI PAN Fest at Android Land, iQOO Experience Zone, PlayStation Gaming Zone, Samsung Gaming Station, and Time Zone gaming stations.
Akshat Rathee, Co-founder and Managing Director, NODWIN Gaming, said, “Bengaluru has always had a unique relationship with pop culture. This is a city where techies debate anime after work, start-up founders line up for comics, and families turn up together to experience fandom. Comic Con here feels less like an event and more like a community gathering. From the moment the doors opened, you could see people spending hours exploring artist alleys, gaming zones, and panels rather than just rushing through. That depth of engagement embodies the very spirit of Bengaluru. The passion, the curiosity, and the willingness to embrace new formats and creators is exactly why this city continues to be such a cornerstone for Comic Con India.”

Shefali Johnson, CEO, Comic Con India, added, “What makes Bengaluru truly special is how invested the audience is. People here come to listen, learn, connect and experience. This year, that became especially evident with the introduction of our new panel stage, which was consistently packed with fans staying back for thoughtful conversations around storytelling, illustration, content creation and most importantly, the legacy of Bengaluru Comic Con. The city’s culture of knowledge-sharing, creativity, and open dialogue really came alive across those sessions. Combined with a cosplay community that has grown with us year after year, it created an atmosphere that felt both energetic and deeply rooted in community and fandom.”
Brand-led interactive zones further enhanced the experience, with activations by Maruti Suzuki Arena, Crunchyroll, Audible, and others. Amazon Prime Video’s Fallout Experience Zone, celebrating Season 2 of the series, allowed fans to step into a post-apocalyptic world alongside cosplayers dressed as vault dwellers and iconic characters.
Live performances kept energy levels high, with acts including Karma, Fluteboxers, beatbox loopstation artist Kevin Noel Sequeira, and Smokey The Ghost. The weekend also featured stand-up comedy sets by Kumar Varun and Sahil Shah, adding a humour-led dimension to the entertainment lineup.

Visitors from across age groups were seen engaging in activities such as caricature art, photo-ops with cosplayers, gaming challenges, and live performances. Families, friends, and fandom communities converged to celebrate their shared love for comics, anime, gaming, and storytelling.
With strong footfall, high engagement, and a diverse mix of creators, performers, and fans, Bengaluru Comic Con 2025 once again positioned itself as a space of belonging—where fandoms thrive, creativity is celebrated, and pop culture finds a powerful community-driven expression.
