The Indo-French Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IFCCI) hosted the 7th edition of its CSR Conclave and Awards on 2nd December at ITC Maurya, New Delhi, in the presence of Damien Syed, Deputy Head of Mission, Embassy of France in India. The event honoured the most impactful CSR initiatives undertaken by French and Indian companies, recognising outstanding projects across six award categories. The Conclave once again reaffirmed IFCCI’s pivotal role in fostering cross-sector collaboration and connecting NGOs with CSR stakeholders.
The event brought together more than 120 CEOs, policymakers, CSR and sustainability leaders, CSR foundations, and NGOs from the Indo-French business ecosystem. Participants exchanged best practices and celebrated high-impact interventions that are shaping India’s social development landscape.
This year’s theme — “Local Frameworks, Global Goals, Digital Pathways” — underscored the increasing alignment between India’s CSR ecosystem and the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Discussions highlighted how collaborative, rather than competitive, approaches will define the future of CSR, focusing on inclusive growth, digital transformation, and global responsibility.
Damien Syed emphasised the strategic importance of the forum, stating, “The annual CSR Conclave and Awards – a flagship forum for the CSR ecosystem between India and France – is an important pillar of our bilateral engagement. Today’s event illustrates that CSR is a driver of responsible corporate leadership, social equity, sustainability, employee engagement and innovation…” He congratulated the winners and reiterated France’s commitment to supporting India in advancing sustainable and inclusive development.
Speaking on IFCCI’s expanding impact, Yohann Samuel, Regional Director – South, IFCCI, noted, “IFCCI is proud to celebrate the remarkable journey of its CSR Department… currently supporting 102 high-impact projects across 11 states, reaching over 1,45,000 beneficiaries in India.” He highlighted IFCCI’s role in enabling collaborative partnerships and end-to-end project management frameworks that drive socio-economic transformation.
A fireside chat on “Domestic Roots, Global Goals: Aligning India’s CSR with the SDGs” was moderated by Ms. Lise Breuil, Country Director, French Development Agency (India), featuring Ms. Cynthia McCaffrey (UNICEF India), Ms. Anna Roy (NITI Aayog), and Dr. Nidhi Pundhir (HCLFoundation).
Other speakers included leaders from Capgemini, Servier India, Sanofi, IDEMIA, L’Oréal India, Dassault Systèmes Foundation, STMicroelectronics Foundation India, FUEL, and CSRBOX Group, each sharing insights on the evolving CSR landscape.
