The World Tennis League (WTL) today announced the tournament format, match schedule and ticketing details for its inaugural India edition, set to take place from December 17–20 at the SM Krishna Tennis Stadium in Bengaluru. Marking its much-anticipated debut in the country, the league promises a high-energy, fast-paced tennis experience designed to engage both Indian and global audiences. Phase 1 tickets are now available on BookMyShow, the league’s official ticketing partner.
WTL 2025 will be played in a brisk four-set format featuring Men’s Singles, Women’s Singles and two Doubles sets. Adding a strategic edge, “the captain who wins the pre-match toss will decide the doubles combinations.” Unlike traditional formats, each tie will be won by the team that accumulates the most games overall, ensuring that “every game, and every point carries weight.”
Each team will play every other team once during the league stage, with the top two advancing to the final on December 20. Two ties are scheduled daily across the four-day event. Matches will follow traditional scoring with a Golden Point at deuce and a tie-break at 6–6. If the trailing team claims the fourth set, the match proceeds into Overtime, and if scores level out, a Super Shootout will determine the winner — guaranteeing a dramatic finish every night.

Day 2 sees the Aussie Mavericks Kites return to face the AOS Eagles, before the spotlight shifts to the highly anticipated Game Changers Falcons vs VB Realty Hawks matchup, with stars including Medvedev, Bopanna, Shapovalov and Svitolina delivering “edge-of-the-seat action.”
Day 3 promises more intensity as the AOS Eagles meet the VB Realty Hawks, while the night match between the Game Changers Falcons and Aussie Mavericks Kites is billed as a shot-making spectacle.
