Karan Aujla’s P-POP CULTURE India Tour Shatters Records With 100,000 Tickets Sold in the First Hour

Global Punjabi music sensation Karan Aujla has set a new benchmark in India’s live entertainment landscape, with the India leg of his P-POP CULTURE World Tour achieving an extraordinary milestone—100,000 tickets sold within just one hour of general sales opening.

Aujla’s debut stadium show at New Delhi’s Jawaharlal Nehru (JLN) Stadium has emerged as a major highlight, selling 40,000 tickets in a single day. Organisers anticipate the 70,000-capacity venue to sell out within the week, positioning the concert to become the largest single-artist, single-day show in the capital’s history. The feat is poised to surpass previous audience records at the same venue, including Travis Scott’s two-day cumulative 100,000 turnout and Diljit Dosanjh’s 70,000 over two days.

The achievement marks a historic moment for Punjabi music, as it is the first time a Punjabi artist has reached such monumental sales figures in such a short period.

The overwhelming response builds on Aujla’s rising global momentum. Spotify recently named him among the most streamed Punjabi artists of the year, further cementing his expanding international influence. He also became the first Punjabi artist to headline Rolling Loud, and last month performed to over 30,000 fans in Abu Dhabi for the official launch of the P-POP CULTURE World Tour.

With ticket prices ranging from INR 999 to INR 600,000, the tour offers a wide array of viewing experiences, including Fanpit, VIP, General Access, VVIP Tables, the King Of Good Times Lounge, and the HSBC Starstruck P-POP Pit—providing options for a broad audience demographic, from families to premium concert-goers.

Promoted by Team Innovation, the India leg of the tour will span six major cities in 2026. The schedule includes arena shows in Bengaluru and Indore, special Holi-themed showcases in Pune and Mumbai, and Aujla’s landmark stadium debuts in New Delhi and Chandigarh. The tour, exclusively produced by Team Innovation and co-powered by Kingfisher Packaged Water and HSBC, is projected to attract over 400,000 fans, potentially making it the largest Punjabi pop tour ever hosted in the country. Additional dates are expected to be announced in a second phase.

Mohit Bijlani, Founder of Team Innovation, commented on the unprecedented demand: “The response has been nothing short of historic. The momentum reflects not just demand for the genre, but the cultural moment Karan Aujla has created. This tour is more than a concert series—it’s a global movement celebrating Punjabi identity and innovation. We cannot wait to once again deliver an experience that sets a new benchmark in live entertainment, especially after the successful 2024 run in India and, more recently, the Abu Dhabi show with the very same artist.”

The 2026 India tour marks a significant chapter in Aujla’s artistic journey, following the success of his 2024 world tour It Was All A Dream, which broke sales records across Canada, the U.K., North America, and New Zealand. The tour generated over USD $15 million, with the India leg alone drawing more than 200,000 fans across seven cities and ten sold-out shows. The P-POP CULTURE World Tour is now set to elevate that legacy to an even grander global stage.

Tickets for all shows are exclusively available on District.
