Siddhartha Roy Steps Down as CEO of Hungama Digital Media

Siddhartha Roy has stepped down from his role as Chief Executive Officer of Hungama Digital Media Entertainment Pvt. Ltd., marking the end of a significant chapter in the company’s digital-entertainment journey.

During his tenure, Siddhartha led Hungama’s expansion across music, video, gaming and emerging consumer-experience formats. He drove large-scale partnerships with telecom operators, OEMs and distribution networks, strengthened collaborations with creators and studios, and helped build Hungama’s global presence, with its services reaching millions of users in more than 90 countries.

Before joining Hungama, Siddhartha co-founded BigAdda, one of India’s earliest youth-networking platforms, and held senior positions at MTV Networks and Star TV. His career has consistently focused on digital product innovation, audience engagement and building scalable entertainment platforms.

Reflecting on his exit, Siddhartha said: “Hungama has been far more than a role — it has been a space of innovation, passion, and continuous growth.
