Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. marked Independence Day with a global-first showcase as the company unveiled its groundbreaking Global Vision 2027: Freedom_NU at the NESCO Exhibition Centre, Mumbai. Designed as a large-format morning showcase for automotive media, influencers, and key stakeholders, the event set an unprecedented experiential benchmark for the brand with advanced staging ingenuity, immersive storytelling, and precision engineering.
Commissioned by Mahindra’s automotive divisions, the showcase was conceptualized to highlight the company’s future-forward positioning as a maker of authentic, sophisticated SUVs and global products. Guests also had the opportunity to experience Mahindra’s latest in-market offerings, presented within a high-tech, multi-stage format at Hall 4 of NESCO.
The event opened with a cinematic narrative that transitioned into Mahindra’s ambitious global outlook, setting the stage for the reveal of four futuristic concept vehicles — all clay-model, immobile prototypes measuring approximately 17 ft in length, 7 ft in width, and 6 ft in height. Each concept was unveiled through a choreographed sequence that combined presentation and show elements to heighten visual impact.
To enable a complete 360-degree viewing experience — a core requirement of the showcase — the engineering team developed a custom-built trolley-cum-turntable system capable of handling loads exceeding two tons. This innovation ensured smooth rotation, precise alignment, and unobstructed visibility, allowing media and guests to engage with each concept from every angle.
Supporting this ambitious design was a large-scale, multi-technology stage featuring an independently moving platform, dynamic multi-screen lifting mechanisms, and nearly 6,000 sq. ft. of LED surfaces. A bespoke pixel presentation and high-fidelity 3D animated content further elevated the reveal, bringing Mahindra’s futuristic design language to life.
Mantra Events, the agency behind the production, credited its technical partners for delivering the high-impact staging. Spectrum led the LED execution, Audio Dimension delivered the audio design, Star Dimension managed lighting and trussing, Pixonix crafted the pixel presentation, and Creative Factory produced the 3D pixel animation.
Founder of Mantra Events, Gaurav Thakkar, emphasized the collaborative triumph behind the spectacle, stating, “Witnessing this stage come alive was incredibly rewarding. The seamless integration of a 360-degree rotating multi-screen system, nearly 6,000 sq. ft. of LED, custom pixel content, and 3D animation allowed us to present the product exactly as we had imagined. The world premiere of Freedom_NU not only commemorated India’s Independence Day but also marked a pivotal milestone for Mahindra, signaling its bold, future-ready design and engineering philosophy to global audiences.
