In a significant push toward enhancing India’s para-sports landscape, Flutter Entertainment India LLP (FEI) has partnered with the Aditya Mehta Foundation (AMF) to strengthen training ecosystems and provide world-class adaptive support for para-athletes. Under this collaboration, FEI has committed an investment of INR 60 lakh through Flutter Global’s “Do More” initiative.
The funding will support two major programs at AMF—upgrading training and rehabilitation centres, and providing customized adaptive devices and equipment. These initiatives are expected to directly benefit up to 15 para-athletes as they prepare for high-performance competitions, including the Asian Youth Para Games and the 2028 Paralympic Games.
Founded in 2013, AMF is Asia’s first organization dedicated to para-sports rehabilitation and high-performance training. Over the years, the foundation has played a pivotal role in nurturing grassroots talent and contributing to more than 450 international medals for India. The partnership with Flutter aims to accelerate this progress by ensuring athletes have access to modern infrastructure, professional coaching, and advanced sports science support.
Aditya Mehta, International Para-Cyclist and Founder of the Aditya Mehta Foundation, welcomed the association, stating, “We are delighted to partner with Flutter, whose support will significantly strengthen India’s para-sports ecosystem. Para-athletes require specialized training, rehabilitation and adaptive equipment, and this investment will directly help them access these essential resources. The collaboration will enable athletes to compete in key national and international tournaments, including World Championships and World Cups, which are crucial for earning qualification points. This support aligns with our shared vision of securing multiple slots for the 2028 Paralympics and elevating talented para-athletes to the highest levels of global competition.”
The two key programs powered by Flutter’s support include:
Program 1: Training, Rehabilitation Centre/Adaptive Gym Upgradation, Nutrition & Coaching
FEI will assist AMF in enhancing its training environment with upgraded adaptive facilities, physiotherapy support, structured nutrition plans, and sports science interventions. This aligns with Flutter’s broader mission to foster inclusive and high-quality sporting ecosystems.
Program 2: Customized Adaptive Devices & Equipment
Recognizing the critical role of high-performance tools, Flutter will fund customized adaptive devices and sport-specific equipment to ensure athletes have the precision and safety required to excel at elite levels.
Ashish Sinha, Managing Director, Flutter Entertainment India, emphasized the company’s long-term vision, saying, “Para-athletes represent resilience, ambition, and the belief that sport should be accessible to everyone. Our partnership with the Aditya Mehta Foundation reflects Flutter’s long-term commitment to creating high-quality training ecosystems that enable athletes to perform at their best. By strengthening access to adaptive equipment, sports science, and professional coaching, we aim to support para-athletes in achieving their full potential and competing with confidence on the global stage.”
Flutter’s “Do More” initiative, a core pillar of its global Positive Impact Plan, focuses on driving meaningful change and uplifting communities worldwide. The partnership with AMF marks a significant stride toward Flutter’s goal of improving the lives of 10 million people by 2030, particularly by enhancing access to professional training and adaptive resources for athletes with disabilities.
