Chitale Bandhu Mithaiwale, Maharashtra’s iconic snacks and sweets brand, has appointed Yogesh Shinde as its new Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). Based in Pune, Shinde will spearhead the company’s ambitious plans to transform Chitale Bandhu into a strong national brand.
With a legacy spanning more than 70 years, Chitale Bandhu is revered across Maharashtra for its legendary Bakarwadi, premium snacks, and traditional mithai. The brand operates with state-of-the-art manufacturing systems, advanced processing technology, stringent quality controls, and a wide distribution network. Chitale Bandhu currently records a turnover of ₹700 crore, while the overall Chitale Family Group stands at ₹2,300 crore.
In his new role, Shinde will drive strategic growth across modern trade, e-commerce, new product categories, pan-India markets, and global export opportunities. His mandate includes strengthening the brand’s heritage of purity and taste while accelerating its next phase of expansion.
Shinde brings over 16 years of experience from the Wagh Bakri Tea Group, where he served as Senior Vice President – Marketing. During his tenure, he played a pivotal role in scaling Wagh Bakri from a ₹350 crore company in 2010 to ₹2,700 crore in 2025, establishing it as India’s No. 3 packaged tea brand. He also led the launch and expansion of over 55 Wagh Bakri Tea Lounges across major Indian cities.
With this leadership transition, Chitale Bandhu Mithaiwale looks poised for a new era of national prominence and market growth.
