Coca-Cola India Backs Junior Women’s Hockey Team for FIH Junior World Cup 2025

Anandana – The Coca-Cola India Foundation has announced continued support for India’s junior women’s hockey team as they prepare for the FIH Women’s Junior Hockey World Cup 2025 in Santiago, Chile. The foundation’s collaboration with Hockey India, now in its third year, aims to expand opportunities for young women athletes and strengthen the talent pipeline for the sport.

The partnership focuses on comprehensive athlete development, including sustained training assistance, international exposure, and high-performance programmes. As part of these efforts, the junior team recently completed a five-match exposure tour in Australia, gaining essential experience against top-tier global opponents. Multiple preparatory camps were also conducted in India, Amsterdam, and Berlin, offering position-specific coaching and advanced training designed to refine technical ability and match temperament.

“Anandana – The Coca-Cola India Foundation has been a steady partner in strengthening the women’s hockey ecosystem. Their support across specialized camps and the Australia exposure tour has played a meaningful role in preparing our junior athletes for global competition. This partnership reflects a shared commitment to building pathways for young women in hockey,” said Dr. Dilip Tirkey, President of Hockey India.

Secretary General of Hockey India, Bhola Nath Singh, highlighted the importance of structured development pathways: “The journey of a young team requires international experience and consistent performance support. The collaboration with Coca-Cola India under #SheTheDifference has enabled these critical opportunities for our junior women, strengthening their preparation for representing India on the world stage.”

Devyani Rana, Vice President for Public Affairs, Communications and Sustainability at Coca-Cola India and South West Asia, reiterated the organisation’s long-term vision: “Our collaboration with Hockey India under #SheTheDifference is rooted in creating sustainable pathways for women athletes to excel. The support for the junior women’s team has focused on strengthening their preparation through international exposure, specialized coaching, and comprehensive development initiatives. These investments empower young athletes not just for this World Cup, but for their long-term sporting journeys and contribute to strengthening India’s position in women’s hockey globally.”

The support package includes performance equipment, uniforms, training tools, travel and accommodation for international tours, and athlete welfare initiatives. Beyond the national squad, the partnership has also contributed to the Junior Women’s National Championships, reinforcing the grassroots-to-elite development pipeline.

Under the #SheTheDifference campaign, Coca-Cola India and Hockey India remain committed to advancing training, capacity-building, and youth development initiatives that expand opportunities for young women athletes nationwide. Together, they aim to continue strengthening India’s women’s hockey ecosystem and nurturing the next generation of international performers.
