Circus Festival is set to elevate India’s electronic music landscape as it returns to Mumbai’s Dome from December 26–29, 2025, unveiling a first-of-its-kind stadium-format experience. The four-day edition will bring together an unprecedented lineup of global headliners, India’s most forward-thinking electronic artists, and a next-generation production design crafted exclusively for the venue.
For more than two decades, Circus has established itself as one of the world’s most influential electronic music institutions, renowned for its curation of house and techno and its history of hosting genre-defining artists such as The Chemical Brothers, Carl Cox, Jamie Jones, Sven Väth, CamelPhat, The Martinez Brothers, Joseph Capriati and Loco Dice. The 2025 edition marks its most ambitious undertaking in India to date.
Powerful Global Lineup
The festival’s international roster features eight major headliners, presenting a comprehensive showcase of contemporary electronic sound. French house heavyweight Hugel leads the bill with the festival-closing performance, while underground icons Jamie Jones and Maceo Plex bring their globally acclaimed sonic signatures, setting the stage for high-impact collaborations.
Techno leaders Klangkuenstler and I Hate Models will perform back-to-back sets expected to create one of the most high-energy moments of the festival. Monolink returns with his acclaimed genre-bending live act, while UK bass pioneer Special Request joins the festival for an exclusive appearance. Yousef, the festival’s founder, also headlines, reinforcing Circus’s long-standing artistic ethos.
Showcasing India’s Electronic Vanguard
The domestic lineup reflects the festival’s commitment to spotlighting Indian electronic talent shaping the country’s contemporary sonic identity. Featured acts include Ankytrixx, ANSWER, Midnight Traffic, Kollision, Film, Kayvee, Reyhaa, Siren 333, Blurry Slur, Blithe, and Realmm, with additional performers to be announced.
A Chronoform-Inspired Stage and Immersive Design
Circus Festival 2025 introduces a bold new visual identity inspired by the concept of a chronoform — a living machine exploring the interplay between human perception and artificial intelligence. The stage has been conceptualised in collaboration with international event architecture collective Panterra, alongside Indian creative leads Pritish Srinivasan, Dan Naidu and Dax.
Rejecting traditional LED-heavy formats, the design features a monumental mechanical centrepiece supported by high-output intelligent lighting and atmospheric scenography. The aesthetic emphasises industrial textures, minimalism and futurist rawness, enhancing immersion while giving primacy to the music.
360° World-Class Sound Engineering
The festival’s technical backbone is a purpose-built L-Acoustics sound configuration engineered specifically for the Dome. Designed for a 360° auditory experience, the system is optimised to the venue’s architectural acoustics to deliver exceptional clarity, depth and sonic consistency.
Leadership Vision
Speaking about the festival’s philosophy, founder Yousef states: “Circus has always been rooted in forward-thinking curation — a collective of world-class artists coming together to bring the best of every quality sound under one roof. From house, tech-house and Afro-house to melodic and hard techno, this edition showcases the full spectrum of electronic music. Having played the world’s best clubs and festivals for two decades — from Ibiza to Liverpool — I can say the energy in India now rivals the very best of them. India has become an essential part of the Circus message.”
Festival partners Aman Vijan / Sohail Chowdhary (Rockage Entertainment) / Yogesh Popat (YPD Live) / Pruthvi Veeramachaneni (Xora) add: “This year marks a special moment for all of us as we partner with Circus to bring the festival to our hometown. Mumbai has always been the hub of electronic music in India — a city that breathes culture, energy and creativity. Coming together for this edition allows us to build something bigger than ever before, for the city we all call home.”
Reaffirming India’s Global Influence
Circus Festival 2025 underscores India’s growing significance in global electronic culture, combining artistic vision, technical excellence and a deeply engaged community. The Mumbai edition aims to deliver an immersive environment defined by innovation, connection and the distinctive energy that has come to characterise Circus worldwide.
