The Legends Pro T20 League, promoted by the SG Group, is set for a blockbuster debut in Goa, promising a world-class cricket festival featuring some of the sport’s most iconic names. With stars like Shikhar Dhawan, Harbhajan Singh, Shane Watson, and Dale Steyn confirmed, the league aims to redefine how fans experience legends cricket on a global stage.
Positioned as a premium sporting spectacle, the Legends Pro T20 League goes beyond nostalgia, bringing together legendary players in a competitive, high-energy T20 format designed to showcase their skill, charisma, and enduring sporting excellence. With multiple franchises, top-tier global talent, and a format engineered for suspense, the league is expected to quickly become a key highlight on cricket’s annual calendar.
The inaugural edition will be held in Goa from 26 January to 4 February 2026, featuring six franchise teams and 90 legendary players. All matches will take place at the newly inaugurated 1919 Sportz Cricket Stadium in Verna, transforming the venue into a vibrant, festival-like cricketing carnival for fans.
Adding leadership expertise, former Australian captain Michael Clarke has been appointed League Commissioner. Expressing his excitement, he said, “India, being one of the biggest homes of cricket, holds a special place for me. The passion of the fans, the pride, and the privilege of being part of this league, and the chance to reunite with some old friends as well as fierce rivals, make it truly special.
