Karnataka Tourism Society Launches Regional B2B Roadshow Campaign Across South India

The Karnataka Tourism Society (KTS) has launched a major Regional Market Expansion Campaign through a series of Destination Promotion B2B Roadshows, aimed at positioning Karnataka as a leading tourism destination for the current travel season.

Organised in collaboration with the Department of Tourism, Government of Karnataka, the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation (KSTDC), Jungle Lodges & Resorts (JLR), and the South India Hotels & Restaurants Association (SIHRA), the campaign will spotlight Karnataka’s cultural, natural, and adventure offerings across key South Indian markets.

The curated B2B roadshows will be held across Tamil Nadu and Kerala, showcasing the state’s rich heritage, hill destinations, wildlife reserves, and eco-tourism and adventure circuits. The series will begin in Coimbatore on 25 November 2025, followed by Cochin on 26th, Madurai on 27th, and conclude in Salem on 28th November 2025.

A strong delegation of 42 stakeholders from Karnataka will participate in the sessions, engaging with local travel trade counterparts. Expected buyer turnout includes 150 in Coimbatore, 200 in Cochin, 120 in Madurai, and 100 in Salem.

Participating organisations include leading hotels, resorts, tour operators, travel companies, and tourism service providers such as Amritara Hotels & Resorts, Apna Holidays, Bigtravels, CGH Earth Hotels, Cintacor Island Resort, Club Mahindra, Coorg Cliffs Resort & Spa, Evolve Back Resorts, Heritage Resort Hampi, India Tourism, Jungle Lodges & Resorts Ltd., Kadkani Resorts, Kimmane Luxury Golf Resort, Luxunlock Private Villas & Retreats, The Serai Resort, The Tamara Coorg, Trivik Hotels & Resorts, and many others.

Each roadshow will include destination presentations, promotional video showcases, and interactive sessions highlighting Karnataka’s varied tourism circuits—from heritage towns and hill stations to wildlife sanctuaries and eco-adventure experiences.

Speaking about the initiative, K. Syama Raju, President of Karnataka Tourism Society, said, “Karnataka offers an extraordinary year-round tourism experience, with globally recognized attractions such as UNESCO World Heritage Sites, pristine beaches, lush forests, and vibrant wildlife. Through this roadshow series, we aim to catalyze domestic inbound travel and strengthen Karnataka’s visibility among the travel trade in Tamil Nadu and Kerala. It’s a strategic step to deepen regional partnerships and showcase the state’s unmatched tourism potential.”

D. Venkatesan, Regional Director (South), Indiatourism Chennai, added, “With its diverse portfolio of tourism products, Karnataka is rapidly emerging as one of the most dynamic states for both leisure and business travel. Domestic tourism remains the backbone of our tourism economy, and initiatives like these roadshows are vital to unlocking its full potential… These roadshows offer an excellent platform for stakeholders to reconnect with the travel trade and engage meaningfully with prospective tourists.”

KTS representatives will meet directly with state tourism officials, travel company owners, and tour operators to strengthen inter-state tourism cooperation and explore new business opportunities.

In its next phase, KTS plans to extend the campaign to state capitals and Tier-2 cities across Central India, further enhancing Karnataka’s national tourism footprint and industry engagement.
