Bisleri International, India’s leading packaged drinking water brand, has partnered with the Purple Umbrella Festival 2025 as the event’s official hydration partner. Held at the Bharat Mandapam Convention Centre, the festival brought together theatre, short films, documentaries, youth-startup innovation and climate action under the theme “Creativity for Climate. Innovation for Impact. Stories for Change.”
The event saw an impressive footfall of nearly 700 attendees, including 600 children who actively participated in sustainability-focused activities. As part of its engagement, Bisleri set up a dedicated “Greener Promise” stall that highlighted the brand’s commitment to responsible hydration and environmental conservation. The stall showcased PET bottle and HDPE cap upcycling demonstrations, plastic waste management learning modules, and a collection point for used plastic bottles under the company’s flagship Bottles for Change initiative.
“With its blend of creativity, youth energy and climate focus, Purple Umbrella was the perfect stage for us to reinforce our commitment to a greener future,” said Ganesh Kaliyaperumal, Director, Sustainability & Corporate Affairs, Bisleri International. He emphasized that sustainability requires meaningful community action and shared that the stall was designed to educate and inspire students to adopt circular-economy practices.
Neeraj Kumar, Founder of the Purple Umbrella Festival, added, “Purple Umbrella and Bisleri came together because we share a powerful belief that young people can shape India’s climate future. Bisleri’s commitment to recycling aligned perfectly with our mission.”
Bisleri’s involvement at the festival aligns closely with its broader Sustainability 2.0 vision and Bisleri Greener Promise, focusing on youth awareness, recycling, water conservation and community-led climate action.
