The Adani Ahmedabad Marathon unveiled the official jersey for its 9th edition on Saturday at Palladium Mall, drawing an enthusiastic crowd of city runners and fitness lovers. Designed by acclaimed artist Aaquib Wani, the jersey stands as a vibrant symbol of collaboration, creativity and national pride.
In a unique initiative, Wani and Adani Sportsline invited design inputs from Ahmedabad residents, blending community-driven ideas with Wani’s signature storytelling-led design approach. The final jersey pays tribute to the marathon’s core cause, #Run4OurSoldiers, while reflecting the cultural essence of the city.
The unveiling also featured a striking artwork created from 15,000 recycled plastic bottle caps, underscoring the marathon’s commitment to sustainability.
Sanjay Adesara, Chief Business Officer, Adani Sportsline, said, “With the unveiling of the official jersey of the 9th Adani Ahmedabad Marathon, we mark an important milestone. I would like to express my gratitude to Aaquib Wani for designing this jersey in collaboration with our community. The design beautifully captures the marathon’s growing legacy and the city’s creative energy.”
Recognised globally as part of the AIMS World Running Event List, the Adani Ahmedabad Marathon continues to champion its social mission of honouring India’s armed forces. This year’s run, scheduled for November 30, will begin from the Sabarmati Riverfront Sports Park, charting routes through key city landmarks including the Atal Bridge, Gandhi Ashram and Ellis Bridge. Participants can register across four race categories: Full Marathon, Half Marathon, 10 km and 5 km.
Since its inception in 2017, the marathon has grown into one of India’s most scenic and socially driven running events. The #Run4OurSoldiers campaign remains at its heart, enabling thousands—including over 3,000 defence personnel last year—to pay tribute to the country’s armed forces. Participation numbers have crossed 20,000 in recent editions, reflecting the event’s rising popularity.
Backed by Adani Sportsline, the sports division of the Adani Group, the marathon aligns with the company’s broader mission of nurturing sporting culture at the grassroots and building a world-class ecosystem for future Indian athletes.
