Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has announced an exciting collaboration with Japan’s globally renowned performance group, DRUM TAO, for the DRUM TAO India Tour 2025 — a celebration of rhythm, creativity, and cross-cultural connection between India and Japan.
The tour will kick off on November 15, 2025, with a grand performance at the Cherry Blossom Festival in Shillong, traveling across 14 cities including Varanasi, Kisama, Delhi, Mumbai, Jaipur, Chennai, Kolkata, and more, before concluding in Bangalore on December 21, 2025.
This initiative represents Toyota’s philosophy of “Mobility for All”, extending beyond physical mobility to embrace the movement of ideas, creativity, and human spirit. The collaboration aims to foster meaningful cultural exchange and engage with India’s youth through the universal language of music and rhythm.
Speaking about the partnership, Varinder Wadhwa, Vice President, Sales-Service-Used Car Business & Profit Enhancement at Toyota Kirloskar Motor, said, “We are thrilled to collaborate and host world-class artists, DRUM TAO, in India. India’s youth, especially Gen Z, are increasingly engaging with cultures from around the world through music, art, and lifestyle. Through the DRUM TAO India Tour, we aim to connect with young audiences, celebrating cultural exchange and inspiring them through the power of rhythm, performance, and shared experiences.”
Founded in 1993, DRUM TAO has captivated global audiences with its mesmerizing blend of Taiko drumming, graceful choreography, and the haunting melodies of Shinobue flutes. Their performances embody precision, discipline, and artistry — values deeply shared by both Japan and India.
Together, Toyota Kirloskar Motor and DRUM TAO are set to create an immersive cultural experience that transcends borders and generations, uniting audiences through rhythm, innovation, and shared human emotion.
