In a move set to further strengthen India’s growing table tennis ecosystem, Ultimate Table Tennis (UTT) — the country’s premier professional TT league — has joined hands with Butterfly, one of the world’s leading table tennis equipment manufacturers, to develop a new series of amateur and semi-professional tournaments in India.
The long-term collaboration marks a significant step in UTT’s mission to nurture talent at the grassroots level and build structured competitive pathways for young players. Under the partnership, Butterfly will serve as the title sponsor for four amateur events over the next two years, beginning with the Butterfly Ultimate Table Tennis Challenger Cup, scheduled from November 20–23, 2025, at JVPG Club, Mumbai.
The tournament will feature Under-11, Under-13, and Under-15 Boys and Girls singles categories, excluding the top district seeds to ensure wider participation. Winners across categories will receive INR 5,000, runners-up INR 3,000, and third-place players INR 1,500, along with medals, trophies, and exclusive souvenirs.
Butterfly will supply all official competition equipment, ensuring world-class standards for participants, while also distributing exclusive player goodies as part of its effort to promote the sport and support budding athletes in India.
