In a significant global recognition, ITC Hotels Limited has been honoured as the World’s Leading Sustainable Organisation 2025 at the World Sustainable Travel & Hospitality Awards (WSTHA). The brand also secured three additional accolades — World’s Leading Sustainable Food & Nutrition Initiative, World’s Leading Sustainable Marketing Campaign, and World’s Leading Sustainable Employer, achieving the highest awards tally for any organisation this year.

This recognition reinforces ITC Hotels’ long-standing Responsible Luxury philosophy, which integrates sustainability, wellness, and community impact into every facet of its hospitality operations.

Commenting on the achievement, Anil Chadha, Managing Director, ITC Hotels Limited, said, “This global recognition reaffirms our commitment to Responsible Luxury—where sustainability and excellence converge to redefine hospitality. It inspires us to continue leading with purpose and shaping experiences that reflect ITC Hotels’ endeavour to build a better, more sustainable future.”

The awards followed a rigorous four-stage selection process, including nominations, pre-evaluation by the Sustainable Business Institute, shortlisting by the WSTHA Advisory Board, and global voting.

HC Vinayaka, Vice President – Technical Services, EHS & Sustainability, ITC Hotels Limited, stated, “These awards strengthen our resolve to lead with purpose and innovate toward a net-positive future for the hospitality industry. They reflect our team’s unwavering dedication to embedding sustainability into every process, ensuring ITC Hotels continues to set benchmarks for responsible and future-ready hospitality.”

Glenn Mandziuk, President & CEO, World Sustainable Hospitality Alliance (WSHA), congratulated ITC Hotels, saying, “ITC Hotels’ remarkable achievement at the WSTHA exemplifies purpose-driven leadership. Their Responsible Luxury ethos demonstrates how sustainability and profitability can co-exist, setting a global benchmark for the hospitality sector.”

Adding to the praise, Justin Cooke, Executive Vice President, WSTHA, said, “ITC Hotels’ four awards at this year’s ceremony are proof that Responsible Luxury is not merely a philosophy—it is a robust operating system that delivers guest satisfaction, measurable environmental outcomes, and commercial success.”

Launched at COP28 in Dubai, the World Sustainable Travel & Hospitality Awards celebrate global excellence in climate action, biodiversity conservation, community engagement, and sustainable hospitality practices. The programme is guided by a distinguished board comprising leaders from the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) and the Responsible Tourism Institute (supported by UNWTO), and is aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals and the Net Positive framework.

The awards were presented on October 29, 2025, at Terra – The Sustainability Pavilion, Expo City Dubai, providing ITC Hotels an international platform to showcase its leadership and innovation in sustainable hospitality.
