Goa Tourism Showcases “Goa Beyond Beaches” at WTM London 2025

Goa Tourism made a striking impression at the World Travel Market (WTM) London 2025, drawing strong global attention from the travel trade and industry leaders. The State’s vibrant pavilion served as a window into Goa’s evolving tourism story — one that celebrates culture, heritage, cuisine, and immersive experiences rooted in community and sustainability.

Inaugurated by Shri Kartik Pande IFS, Deputy High Commissioner of India to the UK, and Shri Rohan A. Khaunte, Hon’ble Minister for Tourism, Government of Goa, alongside senior officials and dignitaries, the Goa Pavilion witnessed enthusiastic participation from visitors keen to explore the State’s cultural and spiritual offerings, hinterland trails, and emerging tourism infrastructure.

The delegation included key representatives from the Government of Goa and the Goa Tourism Development Corporation (GTDC), as well as members of leading travel trade organisations such as Concord Exotic, Minar Travels, Let’s Goa, and Freedom Holidays. Throughout the event, the Goa team engaged with international trade and media representatives, building meaningful collaborations and partnerships to expand the State’s global tourism footprint.

Speaking on the occasion, Shri Rohan A. Khaunte, Hon’ble Minister for Tourism, said, “Our participation reflects our ongoing commitment to strengthening Goa’s tourism ecosystem through meaningful, community-led initiatives. We aim to offer experiences that go beyond the beaches — rooted in culture, heritage, wellness, and spirituality — and build authentic connections with travellers worldwide.”

Shri Kuldeep Arolkar, Managing Director, GTDC, emphasized the significance of WTM in driving partnerships, adding, “We remain aligned with Goa Tourism’s efforts to enhance visitor engagement and promote inclusive growth. WTM offers a valuable platform to strengthen global ties and explore opportunities for sustainable development.”

Highlighting Goa’s focus on responsible tourism, Shri Kedar Naik, Director (Tourism), Government of Goa, said, “We are committed to positioning Goa as a responsible and experiential destination. Our aim is to introduce innovative tourism circuits, celebrate local culture, and enhance visitor experiences that showcase the many dimensions of Goa.”

Through its participation at WTM London 2025, Goa Tourism reinforced its vision of “Goa Beyond Beaches” — promoting regenerative tourism that empowers communities, preserves cultural heritage, and inspires travellers to explore the State through its stories, traditions, and people.

With this global engagement, Goa continues to position itself as a destination of cultural richness, community well-being, and meaningful travel experiences that extend far beyond the coastline.
