In a strategic move to strengthen its presence in India’s growing leisure hospitality segment, Treebo Hospitality Ventures (THV) has signed an agreement with Accor and InterGlobe Hotels to bring the Mercure brand to the scenic hill station of Kasauli, Himachal Pradesh.
A New Chapter in the Hills
Set amidst pine-covered landscapes, the upcoming Mercure Kasauli will feature 55 elegantly designed rooms, a multi-cuisine restaurant and bar, flexible banquet spaces for weddings, social events, and corporate gatherings, along with a range of recreational amenities for families and children. The design of the property aims to blend Kasauli’s colonial charm with the modern comforts and international hospitality standards of the Mercure brand.
Why Kasauli?
Once a quiet cantonment town, Kasauli has evolved into a sought-after getaway for leisure travelers and destination weddings. Its proximity to Delhi and Chandigarh, combined with its year-round pleasant climate and picturesque setting, makes it a prime choice for upscale yet intimate hospitality experiences. The new Mercure property is positioned to meet the growing demand for branded, full-service hotels in India’s emerging leisure markets.
Strengthening Strategic Partnerships
This signing forms part of Treebo Hospitality Ventures’ master franchise agreement with Accor, aimed at developing world-class mid-scale hotels across high-potential destinations in India.
Sidharth Gupta, CEO & Co-founder of Treebo Hospitality Ventures, said, “Kasauli is a destination of timeless beauty. We are excited to bring the Mercure brand to this serene hill station. Our partnership with Accor enables us to blend local inspiration with global brand standards to create truly memorable guest experiences.”
Ranju Alex, CEO of Accor South Asia, added, “We are delighted to deepen our partnership with Treebo Hospitality Ventures through Mercure Kasauli. This project reflects our shared vision of delivering meaningful stays through thoughtful design, authentic storytelling, and exceptional service.”
Property owners Rohan Kumar and Gurmit Singh expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration, noting that Mercure Kasauli will serve as an ideal destination for family vacations, romantic getaways, and celebrations in the hills.
A Step Forward for India’s Mid-Market Hospitality
The partnership underscores the growing strength of India’s mid-scale hospitality segment, fueled by rising domestic tourism and demand for trusted international brands in leisure destinations. With this development, Treebo Hospitality Ventures continues to expand its footprint across India while reinforcing its collaboration with Accor and InterGlobe Hotels.
Mercure Kasauli is set to redefine the hospitality landscape of Himachal Pradesh — where global brand assurance meets local mountain charm.
