EEMA Celebrates Delhi’s Emergence as India’s Creative Capital

Event and Entertainment Management Association (EEMA) proudly applauds Delhi’s transformation into India’s Creative Capital, marking the beginning of a new era for the country’s live entertainment landscape. In partnership with the Delhi Government and the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI), EEMA is championing a series of more than 30 global live events over the next 80 days that will reshape the way India experiences creativity, culture, and entertainment.

The Hon. Chief Minister Smt. Rekha Gupta Ji reaffirmed the government’s commitment to enabling seamless event execution with enhanced infrastructure and logistical readiness, while Tourism & Culture Minister Shri Kapil Mishra reiterated that “Delhi is ready to shine on the international map as a year-round creative destination.”

From Travis Scott to Zakir Khan, AP Dhillon, Jonita Gandhi, and Armaan Malik, the lineup defines the energy and inclusivity that drives the Indian creative economy. The initiative highlights EEMA’s continued effort to empower the live events ecosystem, foster international collaborations, and expand India’s footprint on the global stage.

Ankur Kalra, General Secretary, EEMA, said, “Delhi’s rise as the Creative Capital is a defining moment for our industry. This is the power of what happens when policymakers, creators, and industry leaders move in sync toward a shared vision. At EEMA, we believe the event industry isn’t just about celebration — it’s about nation-building, job creation, and inspiring the world with the creative force of India.”

Kalra also added that EEMA aims to make Delhi a benchmark for sustainable event practices, focusing on eco-conscious production, green venues, and community-driven cultural experiences.

Rajeev Jain, Chair of the PHDCCI Entertainment Committee and founding member of EEMA, emphasized the collaboration’s significance: “We are unlocking Delhi’s full potential as a platform for the global entertainment economy. With government support and industry vision, this is a golden age for India’s live experiences.”

EEMA remains at the forefront of strengthening the event industry’s relationship with both central and state governments, championing long-term frameworks that enhance the ease of doing business, artist mobility, and cultural tourism.
