Inspired by the legendary Japanese artist Katsushika Hokusai, Gupta’s collection translates the fluidity and energy of Hokusai’s iconic waves into bold, architectural silhouettes and experimental surfaces. About the Collection
“Ode to Hokusai” pays homage to the Japanese master’s study of motion and form, reimagined through an Indian lens. The collection uses hybrid materials, sharp tailoring, and layered textures to transform garments into moving artworks. A Revolutionary Textile Collaboration
In a groundbreaking partnership with IIT Delhi incubation and IndigoTex, Gupta introduced Indiwool Denim — the world’s first 100% Indigo-dyed Wool Denim. Developed and patented in India, this pioneering textile is crafted from locally reared wool in Kullu and Dharamshala using plasma technology, which significantly reduces water usage while enhancing durability and texture.
This innovation not only advances the dialogue between technology and craftsmanship but also revitalizes India’s indigenous wool ecosystem, positioning Indiwool Denim as a new benchmark in sustainable textile engineering.
