Resplendent Ceylon, the luxury hospitality arm of Dilmah Tea, has announced key leadership appointments across two of its renowned properties — Cape Weligama and Ceylon Tea Trails.
At Cape Weligama, Asela Jayaweera has been appointed as General Manager. Bringing over 20 years of leadership experience from prestigious global brands such as The Ritz-Carlton, InterContinental, and Sharq Village & Spa, Asela is set to reinforce the resort’s position as Sri Lanka’s premier clifftop destination. With a strong background in operational excellence and guest satisfaction, he aims to introduce innovative processes to further elevate the guest experience.
At Ceylon Tea Trails, Sajith Grero takes on the role of General Manager. With more than 17 years of experience across luxury hospitality brands including Anantara and Cinnamon Hotels, Sajith has led operations at high-end resorts in Sri Lanka and the Maldives. His vision is to sustain the global reputation of Ceylon Tea Trails as the world’s first tea bungalow resort while enhancing its immersive, heritage-driven experiences.
These appointments follow the recent announcement of Indika Fernando as General Manager of Wild Coast Tented Lodge, signaling a strengthened operational leadership team at Resplendent Ceylon. Together, these leaders will drive a new era focused on process excellence, innovation in luxury hospitality, and the celebration of authentic Sri Lankan heritage.
