In a world where weddings are often celebrated for a day, Megha Beria, Founder and Creative Head of Megha Beria Designs, creates experiences that last a lifetime. Recently recognized in ET Panache 35 Under 35 Edition III at the WOW Awards Asia 2025, Megha has redefined wedding stationery by blending artistry, storytelling, and sustainability. Her work transforms invitations and keepsakes into tangible memories, where every texture, illustration, and detail tells a story that couples—and their guests—cherish forever. In this exclusive interview, Megha shares how she crafts stationery that goes beyond aesthetics, leaving an emotional imprint long after the celebrations end.

Q1. It’s been two years of Megha Beria Designs in the wedding industry. Looking back, what would you say truly sets your brand apart from other design houses?
What makes us different is that I don’t just design for the wedding day; I design for the memories. The kind a couple wants to hold on to, frame, and pass down. Every creation, whether it’s a digital watercolour invite or tactile stationery, feels handcrafted, layered with emotions, and true to them. It’s not just stationery; it’s art that tells their story. And the relationship we build during the process – that trust, comfort, and shared journey has the biggest impact.

Q2. Your work often goes beyond aesthetics, creating invitations and stationery that are tactile, sustainable, and long-lasting. How do you balance design innovation with this emphasis on touch, feel, and eco-consciousness?
Innovation for me isn’t about chasing trends or flashy visuals—it’s about finding ways where beauty and sustainability can coexist. I love experimenting with recycled papers, age-old Indian craft techniques, embroidery, calligraphy, or multifunctional pieces like keepsake thank-you notes and luggage tags. Sometimes it’s about layering textures, fusing multiple collaterals into one, or integrating QR codes in thoughtful ways. Each invitation should look beautiful but also feel meaningful in hand. Couples trust me to blend storytelling with responsibility—and I love that challenge.

Q3. From luggage tags to thank-you notes that become keepsakes, your designs often outlive the wedding day itself. What inspires you to think about longevity in an industry that’s usually event-focused?
In an industry often centered around the D-day, I’ve been inspired to create for years. Longevity is not just about durability-it’s about meaning. I imagine how little details can be cherished, repurposed, or passed down as memories. For instance, at a recent wedding in Mauritius, guests received hand-painted glasses featuring one of my palm tree illustrations, paired with pure silk fabric dyed and screen-printed with a thank-you note. The fabric wasn’t just a protective layer; it became a part of the keepsake itself – something guests could hold onto long after the wedding. These are the details that spark joy and bring back memories with every glance.

Q4. When you pitch to new clients, what’s your biggest “plus point”—the one thing you emphasize that instantly resonates with them?
What instantly resonates is that I don’t just design for their wedding; I design with them. I take time out to understand their story, vision, and quirks so they are actively a part of the entire process.
It’s not a transaction; it’s a relationship. The result is stationery that blends minimalism with layered art forms and deep personal touches. And because no two couples are alike, no two projects ever look the same. Most importantly, I make the process seamless and stress-free, so couples know they’re in safe hands from start to finish.

Q5. Personalization seems to be at the heart of your process. Can you share an example where a small personal touch completely transformed the client or guest experience?
There are so many! For one couple, I illustrated their pet dog in their wedding vows. It was such a tiny touch, but when they saw it, they teared up—it felt like their fur baby was a part of the ceremony too. For a wedding in Mauritius, the couple’s puppy became the face of the digital travel guide—welcoming guests, leading them through the itinerary, and making the entire journey feel personal and playful. For a beach wedding, we blind-embossed shell-shaped ritual cards with tiny bells that doubled up as hand fans. These little details completely transform the mood, making stationery not just functional but also memorable, emotional, and uniquely theirs.

Q6. As couples increasingly look for unique and meaningful wedding details, where do you see the future of bespoke invitation and stationery design headed—and how do you plan to keep redefining it?
I see bespoke stationery moving towards deeper storytelling – where every layer, texture, and detail holds meaning beyond aesthetics. To me, personalization is the new definition of luxury. As weddings are becoming more global, couples want stationery that feels unmistakably theirs – something no one else could have. My goal is to keep surprising and delighting them through tiny details that carry emotional value: watercolour illustrations, layered textures, custom wax seals, and sustainable keepsakes that live far beyond the wedding day.
