Shaam-E-Mehfil begins on October 4 at Mayfield Estate, Pune, followed by Mumbai’s NCPA on October 11, Kolkata (venue TBA) on October 12, Deep Smriti Auditorium, Jaipur, on November 1, Manpho Convention Centre, Bangalore, on November 2, and concludes at Zorba, Delhi, on November 8.

A Tribute to Roots
Born into a family of musicians in Assam, Papon’s early years were filled with Hindustani classical traditions, Assamese folk music, and ghazals by legends such as Jagjit Singh, Mehdi Hassan, and Ghulam Ali. Evenings at home often echoed with the nazms of poets like Faiz Ahmed Faiz, leaving a deep imprint on him as both a singer and a storyteller.
Shaam-E-Mehfil is Papon’s way of returning to that formative space—a tribute to his roots, his parents’ legacy, and the timeless artistry that continues to inspire him.
