Jazz Weekender, India’s most diverse live music celebration, is back for its fourth edition on October 11-12, 2025, at the iconic 1AQ in Mehrauli, New Delhi. Known for its intimate and community-driven vibe, the festival offers jazz lovers a unique experience amidst the sprawling banyan tree and grassy lawns, with views of the Qutub Minar at sunset.
The festival team said, “This year’s Jazz Weekender hosts adventurous and expressive artists from India and around the world, but more importantly, offers an experience that large-format festivals can’t promise – picnics on the grass and craft cocktails with a view of Qutub Minar at sunset, alongside a curatorial approach to not just music but also independent, homegrown brands across food and lifestyle.”
The lineup for 2025 is as diverse as the sounds of contemporary jazz, spanning genres like neo-soul, R&B, hip-hop, funk, Latin-jazz, electronica, and global rhythms.
Acclaimed Australian singer-songwriter and 30/70 frontwoman Allysha Joy will team up with an all-Indian band for a soul, R&B, and jazz experience. Jazz hybrid pioneer Mark de Clive-Lowe will present his Live Remix set, fusing jazz improvisation with broken beat and global rhythms. Berlin-based Caribbean-American artist Sera Kalo brings her genre-bending avant-soul melodies, while London’s rising four-piece group Oreglo mixes drill, grime, reggae, and jazz.
Indian artists are equally exciting. Ahmedabad rapper Dhanji will collaborate with a 13-piece band for a jazz-funk performance; Derek & The Cats from Bangalore returns with high-energy new material; hip-hop and R&B artist Meba Ofilia debuts alongside duo RANJ x Clifr; and Goa-based quintet Sambucáda brings Brazilian carnival rhythms layered with jazz harmonies. French quartet Marthe rounds off the lineup with a fusion of Greek, Middle Eastern, jazz, rock, and jungle influences.
The festival isn’t just about music. The lawns of 1AQ invite visitors for picnics under the stars, while the terrace offers stunning views of the Qutub Minar. Delhi restaurant Mission Bay will serve handcrafted cocktails, complemented by craft coffee, kombucha, and culinary delights from some of the city’s top eateries.
Jazz Weekender 2025 promises two days of eclectic music, global rhythms, and a unique cultural experience for Delhiites and jazz enthusiasts alike.
