Goa is set to make motorsport history as it becomes home to South Asia’s first oceanfront racing circuit with the launch of the Goa Street Race 2025. Scheduled for November 1–2, the event will take place on a 3.2 km circuit at Headland Sada, Bogda, marking Round 4 of the 2025 Indian Racing Festival (IRF). The festival will feature both the Indian Racing League (IRL) and the FIA-certified Formula 4 Indian Championship.
The announcement was made at Maquinez Palace, Panjim, by Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, alongside officials including Asvin Chandru, IAS (CM Secretary & CEO, Entertainment Society of Goa), Sankalp Amonkar, MLA for Mormugao, and Akhilesh Reddy, Chairman of Racing Promotions.

The Indian Racing League is India’s only four-wheel racing league and the world’s first gender-neutral racing championship, featuring six city-based franchise teams. Formula 4, meanwhile, serves as the gateway category for junior drivers graduating from karting, providing valuable Super License points to support their international racing careers.
Following successful rounds in Coimbatore and Chennai, Goa becomes the third street racing venue for the festival after Chennai and Hyderabad. The coastal circuit is expected to test drivers with unique challenges, including crosswinds, salt-air conditions, sharp urban corners, and sweeping seafront straights.
The race is expected to draw motorsport enthusiasts, tourists, corporate partners, and sponsors, boosting Goa’s economy across sectors such as hospitality, transport, and retail. Backed by the Goa Tourism Department, the initiative aligns with the state’s efforts to promote high-value tourism and develop infrastructure for future international sporting events.
