As part of its self-regulatory efforts to elevate industry standards and encourage responsible behavior in the experiential industry in India, The Event and Entertainment Management Association (EEMA) launched the country’s first-ever comprehensive Safety Manual for events. This is a perfect tool that standardizes safety protocols for events, ensuring consistency and reliability that are so necessary to protect the brand and all the stakeholders – the client, audience, workforce, and the event agency.
The manual integrates regulatory frameworks and global best practices in an endeavour to foster a culture of safety and trust within the events sector. It reiterates EEMA’s commitment to ensure that its member companies, associate partners, and vendors adhere to established safety norms and standards and that the Indian events industry not only leads in creativity and scale but also in responsibility and preparedness.
Developed under the leadership of EEMA’s Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Committee, and curated by experts with decades of global and local experience, the manual provides step-by-step guidelines, safety checklists, and visual SOPs across the entire event lifecycle — from site inspections and infrastructure setup to fire preparedness, crowd control, and emergency response.

This is more than just a guideline; it is a collective commitment to raising the bar, ensuring that Indian events are celebrated globally not only for their scale and imagination but also for being safe, responsible, and future-ready.”

Alongside the Green Manual released earlier, the Safety Manual forms a twin foundation of sustainability and safety, setting benchmarks that will shape the future of safe, sustainable, and world-class events in India.
