Marriott International Appoints Kiran Andicot as Senior Vice President for South Asia

Marriott International has announced the appointment of Kiran Andicot as Senior Vice President to lead its South Asia region. In this expanded role, Andicot will oversee operations and development across the company’s portfolio in the region, while focusing on aligning growth with performance, strengthening owner partnerships, accelerating conversions and openings, and building leadership talent.

With nearly 30 years of experience in hospitality across India and South Asia, Andicot brings deep expertise in hotel operations, consultancy, planning, feasibility, and development. He joined Marriott in 2006 as part of the development and feasibility team, steadily rising through the ranks during his 19-year career with the company.

Under his leadership, Marriott has achieved strong growth in India, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Nepal, and Bangladesh, with more than 220 hotels signed for the region. In India alone, Andicot and his team secured a record 42 hotels and 7,000 rooms in 2024. Earlier this year, they signed a landmark deal with Concept Hospitality to affiliate The Fern portfolio of 115 properties with Series by Marriott.

The expansion extends Marriott’s presence into Tier 2 and 3 cities such as Surat, Shimla, Jalandhar, and Coorg, while also diversifying into the residences segment.

Andicot’s appointment underscores Marriott International’s commitment to strengthening its leadership and maintaining its position as the largest hospitality chain in India.
