Vibgyor Experiential Brings ‘Art Under the Indian Sun’ to Life at DLF Camellias

Vibgyor Experiential successfully merged art, literature, and history in its latest curated event, Art Under the Indian Sun, held at the DLF Camellias Club. The two-day program celebrated the launch of Ratna Vira and Shauryya Vira’s book of the same name, which examines the Company period’s artistic portrayal of India.

The event transcended a traditional book launch, transforming the venue into an immersive walk-through art gallery. Rare mica paintings, many being displayed formally for the first time, along with other artefacts from the Company period, offered guests a tangible connection to India’s rich cultural heritage.

Day one featured the book launch and an open gallery exhibition, allowing attendees to engage closely with the artworks and absorb the historical context. Day two continued with a panel discussion including historian Dr. Swapna Liddle, renowned restorer and forensic art expert Priya Kapoor, Parul Ohri, and the authors themselves, offering insights into India’s artistic legacy and prompting thoughtful reflection.

Vibgyor Experiential emphasized that the event was designed not merely as a launch, but as an experiential journey bridging the past and the present. By integrating storytelling, historical context, and immersive curation, the organization reinforced its reputation for creating experiences where art truly comes alive.
