Curiouscity Discovery Centre Hosts Special Blood Moon Viewing This Weekend

Bengaluru’s Curiouscity Discovery Centre is opening its doors for a night of astronomy and wonder this weekend, giving families, students, and astronomy enthusiasts a front-row seat to the final total lunar eclipse of 2025.

On the night of September 7–8, visitors can witness the Moon turning a striking copper-red during the totality phase from 11:00 PM to 12:22 AM (IST). But the Centre’s event is more than just skywatching — it promises an immersive experience for everyone.

From 8:00 PM to 2:00 AM, Curiouscity will offer telescopes for close-up views, live commentary by Genex Space experts, and interactive sessions that explore the science, myths, and cultural stories behind eclipses. Organisers say the aim is to combine education, entertainment, and hands-on discovery in a single night.

“This isn’t just about seeing the Moon turn red,” said the organisers. “We want visitors to understand the science behind it, explore fascinating stories from history, and enjoy the wonder of the universe together.”

Curiouscity Discovery Centre is known for blending education with fun through science, nature, and creativity-themed zones. The Centre regularly hosts school workshops for Grades 4–8, teacher training programs, and interactive exhibits that extend classroom learning through real-life experiments and discovery-led play.
