Hero FinCorp has officially come on board as the Principal Sponsor of UP Yoddhas for PKL Season 12 in a multi-year partnership, marking a significant milestone for the GMR Sports-owned franchise.
The announcement was made alongside the unveiling of the team’s new warrior-themed jersey at a Mumbai event. The design combines GMR Sports’ signature blue and red with an arrow-inspired motif, symbolizing precision, focus, and forward momentum. The vibrant kit reflects the energy, resilience, and determination that define the Yoddhas on the mat.
Satyam Trivedi, CEO of GMR Sports, said, “We are delighted to welcome Hero FinCorp as our Principal Sponsor. The new jersey captures our precision, focus, resilience, and drive to win, reflecting the spirit of the team and this year’s theme. Together with Hero FinCorp, we aim to create many moments for fans to cheer, both on and off the mat.”
Priya Kashyap, Chief of Staff, Hero FinCorp, added, “This partnership aligns with our shared values of grit, teamwork, and excellence. Our association with the Yoddhas is not just about supporting a team, but celebrating a sport that embodies Bharat’s spirit. As Bharat ka digital lender, this collaboration represents our commitment to the nation’s progress.”
The Yoddhas squad, featuring raiders Surender Gill, Bhavani Rajput, and Dong Geon Lee, along with defenders led by captain Sumit Sangwan and vice-captain Ashu Singh, will debut the new kit in their Season 12 opener against Telugu Titans at the Rajiv Gandhi Indoor Stadium, Vizag, on August 30.
