THRS (Travel and Hospitality Representation Services) has added two prestigious brands to its portfolio—Delfin Amazon Cruises and NIHI Sumba. These partnerships strengthen THRS’s position as a leading sales and marketing representation agency for luxury hospitality brands in India and the GCC.
Delfin Amazon Cruises, pioneers of luxury river expeditions in Peru and the first Relais & Châteaux cruise experience in the world, has appointed THRS as its exclusive sales representative for the GCC market. Founded in 2006, Delfin offers personalised journeys through the Peruvian Amazon aboard its three vessels—Delfin I, Delfin II, and Delfin III. Guests enjoy spacious suites, gourmet dining, and guided small-group excursions in one of the world’s most biodiverse regions.
Aldo Macchiavello, Co-founder and CEO, Delfin Amazon Cruises said, “We’re thrilled to work with THRS to bring travellers from the GCC closer to the heartbeat of the Amazon—through immersive, luxurious journeys that respect the environment and the communities we touch.”
In India, THRS has been appointed as the sales representative for NIHI Sumba, an award-winning island retreat in Indonesia. Spread across 270 hectares with 2.5 km of beachfront, NIHI Sumba features 28 villas with private pools and butler service, blending luxury with local Sumbanese craftsmanship. With only 10% of the land developed, the resort offers an intimate connection with nature.
Recognised globally, NIHI Sumba ranked number 10 in The World’s 50 Best Hotels 2024 and was named Indonesia’s Best Hotel by Condé Nast Traveler. It has also been honoured as Travel + Leisure’s World’s Best Hotel for two consecutive years. Unique experiences include Equine Wellness sessions, spearfishing, treks, and the signature Nihioka Spa Safari.
James McBride, CEO and Co-Founder, NIHI said, “NIHI isn’t just a destination — it’s a journey to the edge of wildness. On the island of Sumba, two and a half times bigger than Bali and just an hour’s flight away, shrouded in centuries-old traditions where the only traffic may be a buffalo crossing the road, guests ride waves and horses, immerse in wellness and raw beauty, and find deeper purpose through our philanthropic work. India is a key market for us, and our partnership with THRS brings NIHI to discerning travellers seeking something truly transformative.”
THRS, known for driving economic returns and visibility for hospitality brands, will focus on strategic sales initiatives and market growth for both partners.
Yeishan Goel, Group CEO, THRS said, “At THRS, our focus will be on driving market penetration through strategic trade partnerships, targeted sales initiatives, and brand visibility. We see strong revenue potential for Delfin Amazon Cruises in the GCC and NIHI Sumba in India, and are committed to building long-term commercial success in these high-growth outbound segments.”
With Indian luxury travellers increasingly looking for unique and meaningful experiences, and outbound tourism spending projected to rise from USD 18.82 billion in 2024 to USD 55.39 billion by 2034, these partnerships come at the perfect time.
