The Bengaluru International Short Film Festival (BISFF), an Oscar Academy-accredited event, is back with its 15th edition, showcasing a stellar line-up of films from across the globe. As part of the 10-day festival running from August 7–17 at multiple Bengaluru venues, Curiouscity Discovery Centre will host the weekend screenings on August 16 and 17 in its auditorium.
Known for blending play with purpose through interactive zones themed around science, nature, and creativity, Curiouscity Discovery Centre is a hub for families, students, and educators. Its hands-on exhibits, science workshops for schools (grades 4–8), and teacher training programs extend learning beyond textbooks—making it a fitting partner for BISFF’s mission to spark curiosity and inspire dialogue.
Over the two days, audiences can expect thought-provoking documentaries, animations, internationally acclaimed shorts, and fresh works from budding filmmakers, alongside discussions and Q&A sessions with creators. The screenings will feature globally recognised works tackling human connections, cultural identity, and pressing social issues.
“Curiouscity is a space that thrives on curiosity, dialogue, and discovery,” said Shonali C. Chinniah, Director & Founder, Curiouscity Discovery Centre. “Hosting BISFF aligns perfectly with our mission to create experiences that spark imagination, encourage critical thinking, and celebrate diverse perspectives. The festival is not just about films—it’s about telling stories that inspire change and connect people across cultures.”
The BISFF weekend at Curiouscity aims to draw film enthusiasts, students, and the local community for two immersive days of cinema and storytelling.
