Acer India has announced that it will host the seventh edition of the Asia Pacific Predator League in 2026, marking a significant milestone in India’s emergence as a global esports hub. The high-stakes tournament will see elite teams from over 15 countries competing in Dota 2 and VALORANT for a share of the USD 400,000 prize pool.
Since its debut in 2018, the Predator League has grown from eight to over fifteen participating countries, becoming a launchpad for emerging esports talent in the Asia Pacific region. To date, the tournament has awarded over USD 2.15 million in prize money and has been a key driver in Acer’s commitment to the global gaming community.
“Gaming is more than entertainment — it’s a movement that connects communities and cultures while fuelling creativity and friendly competition,” said Andrew Hou, President of Acer Pan Asia Pacific. “We are excited to follow the journey of the esports teams that have earned their spot through the qualifying rounds, this time showcasing their skills at the major stage in India.”
Harish Kohli, President & Managing Director of Acer India, added, “India has emerged as one of the fastest-growing gaming markets in the world. Hosting the Asia Pacific Predator League 2026 is a great opportunity to elevate the esports movement and inspire a new generation of gamers across the country.”
The India qualifiers will take place from 1–9 September 2025, followed by the country finale on 11 October 2025. Winners will earn the opportunity to represent India in the Asia Pacific Grand Finals in January 2026. Regional qualifiers across Asia Pacific will also commence soon.
Fans can expect not only intense competition but also immersive experiences, following last year’s introduction of the tournament’s electrifying theme song It Lies Within and the animated series featuring Predator heroes Yuffy and Nero.
