Ampverse DMI has officially launched the third season of College Rivals, India’s leading collegiate gaming talent hunt. This season is set to reach 70 colleges across more than 20 cities, with a brand-new squad option for BGMI that allows students to form their own teams.
After a record-breaking Season 2 with 110 million reach and over 2 lakh registrations, Season 3 marks a significant expansion. For the first time, the tournament will include colleges from East India, aiming for true pan-India representation and tapping into fresh talent across the country.
This season retains its popular solo BGMI format and fan-favourite games like EA Sports FC25 and Valorant. It also brings a new twist by introducing Chess as a demonstrative esport, adding a strategic edge to the competition.
The nationwide tour, which includes both online and offline events, will kick off in Delhi NCR on August 11. Around 20 live streams will showcase the action to a growing audience.
Sumedha Mahajan, Head of Marketing, Operations and Client Growth at Ampverse DMI said, “College Rivals Season 3 is about pushing boundaries and meeting the evolving expectations of India’s gaming community. By introducing new formats and expanding our presence across the country, we’re not just growing in scale, but also strengthening the ecosystem students need to thrive. Collaborations with top teams and creators ensure that College Rivals isn’t just a competition, rather a movement that equips young gamers with the skills, exposure, and networks to turn their passion into lasting careers.”
This year’s campaign is powered by popular gaming influencers LolzZz, Shreeman Legend, Mizo, and Zgod. They will engage student communities through livestreams, exclusive content, and campus appearances.
Season 2 covered 22 cities and 58 colleges, producing over 20,000 live streams and more than 60 hours of content. With an enhanced format, broader reach, and a ₹30 lakh prize pool, Season 3 promises to be the biggest and most competitive edition yet.
