HRAWI to Host Landmark 20th Regional Convention in Mumbai This October

The Hotel and Restaurant Association of Western India (HRAWI) has officially announced the 20th edition of its Regional Convention, scheduled to take place on October 8–9, 2025, at the Crystal Room, The Taj Mahal Palace, Mumbai. Themed ‘75 Years of Service, Solidarity, and Success’, this year’s event carries special significance as it coincides with HRAWI’s 75th Platinum Jubilee Year, making it a historic milestone for the hospitality industry.

The two-day convention promises to be a high-impact gathering of hospitality leaders, policymakers, innovators, and key stakeholders from across Western India and beyond. With Mumbai—a city synonymous with resilience and reinvention—as the host, the convention is set to offer insightful keynote sessions, curated business panels, and strategic networking opportunities.

Jimmy Shaw, President, HRAWI, emphasized the symbolic importance of the venue and occasion:

“This year’s Convention marks our Platinum Jubilee, celebrating 75 years of HRAWI’s service to the hospitality industry. Hosting it at the iconic Taj Mahal Palace in Mumbai—where our journey began under the guidance of J.R.D. Tata is both a tribute to our legacy and a step toward the future. We are aligning our vision with ‘Viksit Maharashtra 2047’ and the national mission of ‘Viksit Bharat 2047’, and this platform will spotlight the strategies and collaborations needed to achieve that.”

Designed to go beyond celebrations, the convention aims to become a strategic platform for dialogue around the future of hospitality and tourism in India. Attendees can expect deep-dive sessions on industry trends, innovations in service and technology, sustainability, regulatory frameworks, and talent development.

Calling on professionals across the spectrum—hoteliers, restaurateurs, consultants, and vendors—Shaw added:

“The Convention is more than just a celebration; it’s an opportunity to shape what’s next. Whether you’re an independent operator or part of a hospitality chain, this gathering will equip you with insights, connections, and tools to elevate your business and our industry.”

HRAWI represents a broad spectrum of hospitality brands and establishments across Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Goa, and the Union Territories of Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu.
