Bennett, Coleman & Co. Ltd. (BCCL), popularly known as The Times of India Group, has appointed Gaurav Rajput as its new Chief Marketing Officer. In his new capacity, Rajput will steer marketing strategies across the company’s diverse portfolio of publications, with a strong emphasis on brand positioning and strategic initiatives.
Rajput brings with him over 20 years of rich experience, having held leadership roles across India, Southeast Asia, and the United Kingdom. Before joining BCCL, he was the Managing Director and Global Head of Corporate & Investment Bank Marketing at Standard Chartered Bank. In this role, he led marketing efforts spanning multiple international markets.
During his tenure at Standard Chartered, Rajput was also part of the Country Management Team for India and South Asia, where he was responsible for leading brand campaigns, managing social media engagement, overseeing corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives, and nurturing relationships with key industry bodies.
His professional journey also includes senior leadership roles at IDFC Bank, where he was a member of the founding executive team tasked with establishing the bank’s marketing and communications function. Additionally, at Cigna TTK, Rajput contributed to corporate strategy, marketing, product development, and regulatory affairs.
With this appointment, BCCL looks set to strengthen its brand presence and marketing impact under Rajput’s seasoned leadership.
