Karnataka to Host Two-Day Quantum India Bengaluru Summit 2025 with 70 Speakers, Multi-Track Conference, and Exhibition

In a significant step towards advancing quantum technologies in India, the Quantum India Bengaluru Summit is all set to take place on July 31 and August 1, 2025, bringing together global leaders, scientists, and industry experts under one roof. The two-day summit is jointly organised by the Karnataka Science and Technology Promotion Society (KSTePS) and the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, in association with the Quantum Technology Initiative of the Indian Institute of Science (IISc).

The first edition of the summit will host around 70 speakers from across the globe, including two Nobel Laureates, making it one of the most high-profile gatherings in India’s scientific and technology event calendar. Themed ‘Building a Quantum Ecosystem: Qubits to Society’, the summit will cover a broad spectrum of topics such as Quantum Computing: Finance and AI, Quantum Peripherals and Hardware, Quantum in Healthcare and Security, and Quantum in Society and Art.

The presence of Professor Duncan Haldane (2016 Nobel Laureate) and Professor David Gross (2004 Nobel Laureate) as keynote speakers marks a historic moment for India’s science-led conferences, bringing international prestige and attention to the platform.

Beyond keynote addresses and plenary sessions, the summit will feature a multi-track conference, a startup pitch and showcase platform, and an international exhibition, designed to promote innovation, investment, and cross-border collaboration in quantum tech. The event is also expected to serve as a crucial step in India’s broader National Mission on Quantum Technologies & Applications.

Highlighting Karnataka’s leading role in India’s deep tech journey, N S Boseraju, Karnataka’s Minister for Minor Irrigation and Science and Technology, stated, “This summit will mark the opening chapter to put Karnataka on the global quantum map. It is a revolutionary initiative and reflects the state’s strong focus on scientific progress and deep tech research and development.”

The academic direction of the summit will be led by IISc professor Arindam Ghosh, who has been appointed as Conference Chair, with Professor Akshay Naik serving as Co-chair.

As Bengaluru prepares to host this globally significant summit, the event also sets a new benchmark for the Indian MICE industry in executing high-impact, knowledge-driven platforms that merge policy, academia, innovation, and international engagement.
