In a dynamic step toward global sports integration, the Indian Roll Ball League (IRBL) has announced a landmark partnership with the West Indies Champions cricket team ahead of the World Championship of Legends (WCL) 2025.
As part of this collaboration, Caribbean cricket icons Chris Gayle, Kieron Pollard, and Dwayne Bravo will feature in promotional content sporting Indian Roll Ball helmets, symbolizing a powerful fusion of cultures and a shared passion for sports.
Taking Roll Ball Global
Born in Pune in 2003, Roll Ball is a unique sport that combines elements of basketball, handball, and skating. Now played in over 60 countries, the game is set to reach new heights with IRBL’s international league, powered by SportzTank Pvt Ltd, launching later this year.
The strategic partnership aims to elevate this indigenous Indian sport to a global platform, supported by cricketing legends and a broader vision of sporting unity.
Bridging Cultures Through Sport
Ajay Sethi, Dubai-based owner of the West Indies Champions, hailed the partnership as a “symbol of unity and sporting spirit”. Meanwhile, Sachin Joshi, founder of IRBL, emphasized the collaboration as “a celebration of India’s rich sporting legacy.”
Beyond just branding and appearances, the partnership will include fan engagement initiatives, cultural exchanges, and grassroots activations — all designed to build bridges between Indian and Caribbean sporting communities and inspire young talent on both sides.
The Stage: WCL 2025
The World Championship of Legends (WCL) is the only Legends T20 cricket league officially recognized by the England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB). The 2025 edition will showcase cricketing giants including Yuvraj Singh, Shahid Afridi, and Chris Gayle, offering the perfect stage for cross-sport synergy and visibility.
With this unique collaboration, IRBL and West Indies Champions are not just joining forces — they’re laying the foundation for a new chapter in global sports storytelling, where traditional boundaries blur and shared legacies emerge.
