BMW Group India Appoints Hardeep Singh Brar as New President and CEO

BMW Group India has announced that Hardeep Singh Brar will take over as President and Chief Executive Officer effective 1 September 2025. He succeeds Vikram Pawah, who is moving to lead BMW Group Australia and New Zealand as CEO.

Brar brings over thirty years of experience in the Indian automotive industry. Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Kia India. His career also includes leadership roles across sales, marketing, customer experience, network development, and corporate strategy at Maruti-Suzuki, Volkswagen Passenger Cars, General Motors, Nissan Motor, and Great Wall Motor Company. He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, Punjab, and is an alumnus of Harvard Business School’s Senior Executive Leadership Program.

Vikram Pawah, who has been with BMW Group since 2017, has successfully led operations in India and Australia. In recent years, he focused on expanding BMW Group India’s market share, exploring new opportunities and target groups, and advancing electric mobility, digitalization, retail experience, and customer centricity.

With this leadership transition, BMW Group India aims to continue its growth momentum and strengthen its presence in the Indian market.
