Robust Events Celebrates a Decade of Impact, Innovation & Immersive Experiences

Robust Events, the young and spirited force in the event industry, is celebrating a milestone that’s as meaningful as it is momentous—10 years of turning ideas into unforgettable experiences. What began as a leap of faith by co-founders Ravi Mehta and Bhavin Patel has grown into a name trusted across industries. In just a decade, they’ve brought over 3,000 events to life—from high-impact corporate galas and pulsating concerts to immersive brand activations, exhibitions, and curated lifestyle experiences—each crafted with heart, hustle, and a whole lot of creative energy.

Ravi Mehta, Founder, Robust Events said, “A dream alone doesn’t create memories – passion, relentless drive, and people do. As we celebrate ten years of crafting moments that matter, we recommit to reinventing our own possibilities – and deliver extraordinary experiences that go far beyond expectations.”

Bhavin Patel, Co‑founder, Robust Events said, “We started with a spark, and today we stand as a beacon of creativity and collaboration. Our next decade will be defined by daring ideas, bold ventures, and technologies that change the face of event storytelling.”

Over the last ten years, Robust Events has brought to life over 3,000 events across corporate luxe affairs, fashion and lifestyle showcases, live shows, and more. But what truly sets them apart isn’t just scale—it’s culture. “Once a Robust, always a Robust” isn’t just a line, it’s a way of working where past team members remain connected, and the current crew constantly pushes creative boundaries. From old-school storytelling to next-gen formats like AR, AI-led show design, and interactive LED mapping, the team blends heart with tech to stay ahead of the curve. Their newly launched podcast on YouTube offers a rare glimpse into this journey—sharing behind-the-scenes stories, creative lessons, and what’s next.

As they step into their second decade, the story is only getting bigger. Robust is expanding into immersive entertainment spaces, hybrid-digital formats, and international markets. With in-house innovation labs and a growing focus on partnerships with experiential tech startups, the next chapter promises to be bold, inventive, and deeply rooted in everything they’ve built so far.

To mark this milestone, Founder Ravi Mehta and Co-founder Bhavin Patel sat down to reflect on their journey—filled with lessons, defining moments, and an unwavering commitment to culture. In this candid conversation, the duo shares what truly defines the DNA of Robust Events today and how it’s evolved, the moment they knew the agency was ready to lead, what would surprise their 2014 selves most, and the legacy they hope to leave behind—beyond just spectacular events.

1. Looking back, what do you think truly defines the DNA of Robust Events today—and how has that evolved over the past decade?

If I had to define the DNA of Robust Events today, I’d say it’s built on grit, gratitude, reinvention, and relationships. That first event back in June 2015—before we even officially registered the company—feels like yesterday. We didn’t begin with some grand business blueprint. We started with instinct, faith, and a lot of courage.

Back then, we were both coming off tough chapters—failed ventures, doubts, and hard lessons. But those very failures shaped how we built Robust. We never took shortcuts, never poached clients. We started from scratch. We paid vendors on time, we treated our people like family, and we made culture our backbone. Even now, we say it with pride: “Once a Robust, always a Robust.”

What’s evolved is how we channel our energy. In 2015, we were full of fire and urgency. Now, it’s measured, focused, and rooted in purpose. We’re not chasing competition. We’re building something that reflects who we are. Like we always say, our organization is a mirror of our mindset.

2. Is there a specific event or moment that felt like a turning point—where you knew Robust had moved beyond just ‘surviving’ and was ready to lead?

For us, that moment came during the pandemic. 2020 hit like a wall. Events were canceled, money dried up, clients disappeared. It felt like someone just cut our wings mid-flight.

But looking back, that pause became a pivot. We reinvented ourselves—moved into luxury lifestyle events, concerts, and experiential IPs. We doubled down on process, compliance, and culture. Post-COVID, our business didn’t just recover—it grew 3x.

One of the most powerful moments was when we sent out an email to all our vendor partners, assuring them that their dues were safe, even if delayed. And they stood by us. That kind of mutual trust? That’s leadership. That’s when we knew Robust had become more than just an agency. We had built something that mattered.

3. If the 2014 version of you could see where you are now, what would surprise them the most?

Honestly? The calm.

Back then, we were all hustle—fast, loud, and hungry to prove ourselves. Every opportunity felt like a do-or-die moment. I would react quickly, sometimes with rage, just to keep the momentum going.

Today, I’ve learned to pause. To listen. To ask the right questions. When a team member walks in stressed, I don’t add to the fire. I help them find the answers. That level of emotional intelligence and patience would absolutely shock the 2014 version of me.

Also, our shift in priorities would surprise him. We’re not just focused on profits anymore. We care about legacy, about people, about the culture we’re creating. Like I often say now—I’m not here to just make money; I’m here to earn people.

4. As you look ahead, what kind of legacy do you want Robust Events to leave—beyond just great events?

I want Robust to be remembered as more than just an events company. I want us to be known for how we made people feel—our team, our vendors, our clients. We want to be the agency that paid fairly, played fairly, and never lost its heart, no matter how big we grew.

We’ve made it a habit to reinvent ourselves every year—new creds, new creative language, new benchmarks. That’s not just for the market. That’s for us. It keeps us fresh, relevant, and inspired.

More than anything, I hope Robust is known for building people. For us, success isn’t about doing better than the next agency. It’s about inspiring others to dream bigger, work harder, and stay kind.

I don’t think I’m a leader yet. I’ll call myself one the day I know the legacy I’ve built will last beyond me. Until then, I’m a student—still learning, still evolving, still listening.
