WOW Awards Asia 2025 Concludes with Record Footfall, Star Power & Experiential Excellence

The 16th Edition of WOW Awards Asia 2025, held on June 20–21 at Jio World Convention Centre, Mumbai, delivered two power-packed days of innovation, inspiration, and immersive experiences, reaffirming its legacy as the region’s most definitive platform celebrating the best in the world of events and experiences. Presented by EVENTFAQS Media in association with EEMA and powered by Inventum Global, Rixos Hotels, Xprtx, L-ISA, and Bahrain Tourism, this year’s edition elevated the experiential dialogue like never before.

WOW Awards Asia 2025 witnessed an overwhelming response from the industry, with over 5,000 attendees gathering from across India and beyond to celebrate experiential excellence. The vibrant WOW Expo featured 90+ curated stalls, showcasing cutting-edge services, talent, and technologies that power the world of events. This year saw a record-breaking 3,000+ entries, reflecting the industry’s creative boom, out of which 350+ winners were honoured across 5 key categories, representing the finest in innovation, execution, and impact. Supporting the integrity of the awards were 110+ esteemed jury members, comprising industry veterans, brand leaders, and creative visionaries who helped shape one of the most credible and celebrated editions yet. The judging process was independently evaluated and validated by Ernst & Young (EY), ensuring fairness, transparency, and credibility at every stage.

The event kicked off with an enthusiastic morning as Pavilion 2 & 3 opened for registration and the buzzing WOW Expo, setting the tone for what was to come. The WOW Inauguration Ceremony brought together industry stalwarts including Deepak Choudhary, MD of WOW Awards Asia & EVENTFAQS Media, and Mareesha Parikh, Chief Curator of the WOW Awards, with a special keynote by Shri Ashish Shelar, Hon’ble Minister of Cultural Affairs, Maharashtra. Salutes were extended to partners Inventum Global and Rixos Egypt, further cementing the international edge of the platform.

The morning crescendoed with a stirring talk by Captain Raghu Raman, followed by Samit Garg, President of EEMA, setting the stage for deep introspection and bold conversations.

The MEGAverse 1: The Mahakumbh presented an impactful discourse on cultural convergence in the experiential space, while Round Tables 1 & 2 peeled back the layers of real talk—from heroic failures to innovation as currency.

Afternoon highlights included MEGAverse 2: LIVE Like Never Before, celebrating the raw power of live entertainment, and the much-awaited 35 Under 35 Awards, spotlighting the rising stars shaping the industry’s future. The audience also witnessed inspiring messages from Sumit Gandhi (ABEC) and Jimmy Choudhary (Director, EVENTFAQS Media).

Culminating the day was the glittering Laqshya Media Group Experiential CMO Awards, powered by EVA Live, followed by a keynote by the ever-charismatic Sabbas Joseph. The WOW Awards Gala Nite (Groups B, D & E) brought Day 1 to a close in classic WOW style—with cocktails, dinner, entertainment, and vibrant networking.

Day 2 opened with high energy as the WOW Coffee Rave Party, led by DJ Riio, morphed into a high-octane session with Raghu & Rajiv, bringing fun, chaos, and nostalgia. This transitioned into an impactful session, “Let Us eVENT More” with Mike Murali, encouraging event profs to push the envelope.

The MaxiMICE Awards 2025, hosted by Parthip Thyagarajan and Aarti Manocha, celebrated excellence in MICE, while Round Table 1: Business Beyond YOU explored legacy thinking and sustainable scaling. The industry shifted gears in MEGAverse 1, where leading voices decoded the business of sports events.

Post-lunch, the spotlight turned global with MEGAverse 2: When Nations Take Centre Stage, leading into a reflection on international expansion and cultural diplomacy. A key highlight was a special note on WOW Awards Middle East 2025 by Vinod Janardhan and  Deepak Choudhary reinforcing the event’s international resonance.

The afternoon also featured “Meet The Creative Alchemists”, a compelling discussion on the minds behind unforgettable experiences, followed by “Designing Spaces To Tell A Story”, exploring the craft of creating emotion through environment.

The grand finale was reserved for two powerful recognitions — the EVENTFAQS Women of the Year 2025, honouring trailblazing women in the industry, and the Entertainers Connect Awards 2025, celebrating the heartbeat of events: the artists, performers, and creators.

The curtains came down with the second WOW Gala Nite (Groups A & C) — an evening of glamour, gratitude, and growth.

WOW Awards Asia 2025 witnessed a dazzling lineup of celebrities who added star power across key segments. Legendary filmmaker Ramesh Sippy and iconic lyricist Javed Akhtar shared timeless insights, while Dr. Kumar Vishwas captivated with his powerful poetry.

Udit Narayan, Falguni Pathak, Meme Khan, Abhishek Banerjee, Rakul Preet Singh and  Baba Sehgal engaged in special sessions, bringing star charisma to the experiential dialogue. The musical vibe was unmatched with stellar performances by Akriti Kakar, Hargun Kaur, Divya Kumar and Curry Band. From stage to sound, their presence made WOW 2025 a true celebration of creativity and culture.

Both days were abuzz at the WOW Bistro and the immersive WOW Expo, facilitating idea exchange, collaboration, and business connections. The event was not just a recognition platform but a pulsating marketplace of ideas that define the future of brand experiences.
