Q. What inspired you to choose this path as your profession? And now that you’ve spent time in the industry, what shifts or positive differences have you witnessed over time?
To be honest—MIC. Every time I see the mic, it sparks a fire in me to entertain, from then till now. The industry’s grown into a stage for real talent to shine, I believe. I’ve seen it evolve into a space where authenticity is finally being valued more than appearances, and that’s been beautiful to witness.
Q. How do you stay relevant and innovative in such a dynamic and evolving entertainment industry?
Trends come and go, but making people say ‘Mazaa aagya’ is forever! That one smile, that one compliment—that’s the fuel I run on. I just focus on that connection — it keeps me grounded and evolving most organically.
Q. What’s next for you? Are there any specific projects, formats, or collaborations you’re aiming to explore?
Looking forward to bigger stages and brighter lights, aiming for international shows this year with international mics and forums. I’m really excited to take my vibe to new cultures, new crowds, and show the world what we bring to the stage.
Q. What’s your go-to trick for winning over a tough crowd? Do you have a mantra or phrase that you say to yourself before every performance?
Match their mood, then flip it with energy—that’s my secret sauce! And before I begin, I always whisper, ‘Tonight, let’s own this vibe, Manish!!’ That line grounds me, pumps me up, and sets the tone for the kind of energy I want to share with the audience.
Q. What advice or message would you give to aspiring artists?
Be the original in a world full of templates! Fail, fumble, learn—but never stop crafting your own creative voice. And don’t copy. Just be you — that’s where your real power lies.
