This platform brings together some of the finest talent in the entertainment world, and being recognized among them is both humbling and energizing. It’s not just about presence—it’s about impact. I see this as an opportunity to elevate my journey, share my voice with newer audiences, and connect with industry peers for collaborations that could spark fresh creative revolutions.
Q2: What inspired you to choose this path as your profession? And now that you’ve spent time in the industry, what shifts or positive differences have you witnessed over time?
Music chose me before I chose it. I’ve always believed that beats can break barriers. From the time I started out, there were very few female DJs, especially in Bollywood. But over the years, I’ve seen a beautiful shift—more inclusivity, more respect for artists, and an audience that’s hungry for innovation. The digital era has opened doors for artists like never before, and I’m loving how music is now a truly global language.
Q3: How do you stay relevant and innovative in such a dynamic and evolving entertainment industry?
Staying relevant means staying real and curious. I constantly listen to global sounds, blend genres, and experiment with technology—whether it’s using AI tools in production or creating immersive DJ sets. I believe in evolving without losing my core identity. For me, it’s not just about playing music—it’s about creating a vibe that people remember.
Q4: What’s next for you? Are there any specific projects, formats, or collaborations you’re aiming to explore?
Absolutely! I’m working on an exclusive radio + café music IP that combines live sets with curated moods—designed for intimate listening experiences. I’m also exploring collaborations across borders and genres, especially with artists from the Afro, electronic, and indie scenes. And yes, a visual storytelling series that blends my DJ journey with real stories from behind the console is in the pipeline!
Q5: What’s your go-to trick for winning over a tough crowd? Do you have a mantra or phrase that you say to yourself before every performance?
I always remind myself, “Energy is contagious. If you feel it, they’ll feel it.” I read the room, drop a surprise track they weren’t expecting, and create a personal connection. Sometimes, just a smile and eye contact do the magic before the drop. My mantra is simple: “Turn the moment into a memory.”
